My inspire HR has stopped working after me standing in a pool.
After I had left the pool, the device was working fine. However as the day went on, the screen suddenly stopped lighting up, but, I could feel vibrations when I received a notifications for texts or calendar events.
The next day I was on forums reading about how to restart the Fitbit. Following the instructions provided on this site and upon the initial restart, the device's screen was able to light up again and display returned to normal. However, I couldn't scroll through the options (steps, heart rate, exercise, calories burned etc. etc.). I was able to tap through the tiny options on the main Home Screen underneath the clock.
Upon a second restart, everything worked fine, I could scroll, tap, it functioned normally. This only lasted a short period of time. By the end of the day, the green light wouldn't even turn on. After plugging it in, the device wouldn't charge, the screen didn't light up, nor did I feel any vibrations.
I know that my Fitbit is no longer under warranty but I wanted to complain that this device was advertised as being able to function despite getting wet. It literally has a swimming exercise function to measure distance swam! I didn't even take it to do real swimming and it died shortly after. I'm quite upset that I now have a dead device that only lasted 1.5 years.
I feel as though I've attempted all plausible solutions after scouring this entire site and I think that my FitBit is completely dead but if anyone has any other suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
Or if it would even be possible to get a replacement device from Fitbit itself, despite it not being under warranty.
Thanks for listening
