My Fitbit is no longer working after finally getting up the nerve to wear it in water for a swim. It tracked the swim fine but later in evening reset itself a few times and then died completely. Won’t even charge. I googled beforehand and read I could use it swimming. I feel it’s a bit misleading to read that and have my Fitbit die. Not happy.

Hi there, @SJ_Tas. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Inspire HR. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.
If your Inspire HR got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
If you've done the above but to no avail, I suggest restarting your Inspire HR by following these steps.
If your Inspire HR doesn't vibrate during the restart process, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

Tried all of the above. Makes a funny noise while charging and “comes alive” briefly (for a few seconds) before glitching back to smiley face and dies. I’ll wait another day or two to dry out a bit but I think it’s dead ☹️
not happy as it’s been marketed as safe to swim with and I definitely cannot afford another anytime soon.
