Inspire HR stopped working altogether

I've had an Inspire HR since Jan 2020 and its now got to a point where it needs recharging every 2-3 days

In addition, I periodically go to look at it and find that the display is black, nothing works until I hold down the button and it restarts and will show the time from (presumably) when it hung, sometimes ten minutes ago, sometimes six hours.  Time will go back to normal if I open the Android phone app and force a resynch

In addition, sometime around six months ago the phone app. stopped synching automatically (most of the time, sometimes it will for keep synching a day or so, other times it never seems to resynch after a manual synch.

Is it time to bin it as eWaste, or are there any steps I can take to make it reliable and useful?

Hi, @ajft a battery that last 2-3 days after more than 3 years use is actually pretty good, and it is usual for a sync to be needed to update the time.  It sounds like your Inspire HR is showing normal wear and tear on the battery, and there probably isn’t much more you can do to improve it at this stage.

If you are thinking of upgrading you might want first to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.fitbit.com as I know they are sometimes able to offer a discount to loyal customers whose Fitbit is out of warranty.

If you do want to upgrade I can recommend the Inspire 3 which is the Fitbit I currently use.  It has a really vibrant colour screen and solves the problem many people had with the Inspire HR not being visible on bright sunny days.

You also might like the Luxe which is the most petite Fitbit.  I like the Inspire series better because the Luxe is navigated entirely by swipe and I prefer the (haptic) button on the Inspire series.

Thanks @Julia_G, any ideas on why the android app has mostly given up auto-synching as well?
