Inspire HR stopped working and experience with Support

Fit inspire Hr is 14 months old and before it stopped working last week was great. Last weekend just stopped updating and screen went black. I followed all of the trouble shooting steps and still broke. I got it to sync once and it will turn on like once a day with a warped screen but it’s basically dead.I contacted customer service and they basically said “too bad, here is a coupon that barely reduces the price that is higher on our site than anywhere else, now give us your money that is already stretched in a pandemic”. I’ve noticed a lot of people have had this problem. How did it get resolved? Do you basically have to replace your Fitbit every year? Is it worth replacing every year? We have 3 other Fitbits in the house and I’m now wondering how long until they give out too.

Thank you for your reply but I do have a question. According to Fitbit what is the general lifespan of a fitness tracker with normal use? Is this affected by software updates? Trying to factor this into my decision to buy another device

Thank you for your reply, @Mhaus.

Our devices are made to last and though different users report different life span, I would like to advise that Fitbit devices go through stringent testing to ensure durability. Fitbit occasionally releases free feature enhancements and bug fixes for devices through firmware and Fitbit OS updates. I understand your concern and recommend checking out our comparison page at https://www.fitbit.com/compare, where you can see at a glance the features that each device provides.

Have a nice day!
