I found out my Inspire hadn't been updated, so I agreed to an update which supposedly would take 30 minutes. It's been 4 hours. There has been 2 stop indicators (X in a circle) on the watch screen. I've restarted my phone and close out the update notification whenever it pops up. My Inspire stopped showing the progress bar and shows the usual information, but it hasn't tracked any steps during the update loop.
Sorry to say, but I'm done with Fitbit products now. Imo, Fitbits haven't tracked my steps accurately since the company moved over to wrist-wearables only. I feel crappy saying that as I loved the Ultra and One.

Thanks for getting back to us and for your feedback @zyxst.
I know how frustrating this could be. Have you tried steps of help article: Why can't I update my Fitbit device? Is your wrist device registering more steps than the ones you did with the clip based trackers?
Keep on visiting the forums.

Yes, I did the steps outlined.
Wrist trackers track less steps for me. I don't move my arms much when walking.
