Inspire HR stuck on a smile face

Code 001 at some times or smiley face. Have recharged and restarted. Nothing. Started tonight after recharging. Started saying couldn’t synch and battery went down rapidly from full to empty.

Hi there, @Seattleborn. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Inspire HR before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from. 

If you haven't done so yet, please follow the steps below:

  • Remove your Inspire HR from your Fitbit account and your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Inspire HR again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Inspire HR.


If you can't get started with your Inspire HR, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
