Inspire HR stuck on time screen even after restarting

I cant change the screen on the display, it's stuck on the time screen with footsteps. I tried restarting it where you plug it into the charger and hold down the button for a minute, then the screen goes black, then I see the smiley face, and it goes back to the time screen with footsteps and still cannot change the screen. I don't know what else to do.

That problem seemed to resolve itself, but now there is another problem - the display won't shut off. It will erratically turn black for a split second, then turn back on. But I cannot get it to turn off, even with wake disabled. It has never done this before. I think I might need a replacement, this thing hasn't worked right for several days now.
