Fitbit inspire hr just logged over 52,000 steps last night while I was sleeping. Anyway to fix this inaccurate step count so I can start my day more accurately? I've already reset my device.

Thanks my

Thank you. The solution was to unpair Mobile Track and manually overwrite the logged "sleep" steps with "driving" for those hours.

I was told I did not need to re-pair mobile track.

@foolishmortals Welcome to our Fitbit Community. Regarding the huge amount of steps that your Inspire HR tracked while you were sleeping, I appreciate the time spent trying to get it resolved before contacting our forums.

In order to avoid any confusion on my end, I would like to know if you restarted your Fitbit device as described in this help article. In the meantime, check out this help page, which explains why your Fitbit device may track extra steps.

Finally, monitor your Fitbit device and see if the issue gets fixed.

See you later.

Yes I restarted as described, and logged out a d back into the app. Usually I will see some steps in the morning (300-400) but obviously nothing as outrageous as this. It seems to have recorded them all within the same hour. Im not only concerned about today being inaccurate, but also that it will skew all of my averages.

So, nothing can be done then?
