I use my Inspire HR connected my iPhone 6s to record run data (mapping, time distance, etc.); always wait for device-phone connection before starting. Since the firmware update in August, the distance given is regularly (but not always) much too big.
For instance, on 20 August I ran a local loop of 6.04 km taking 6061 steps in 34 minutes. On 25 August I ran exactly the same route and got a distance of 6.72 km taking 6065 steps and 34 minutes. This distance of 6.72 km is wrong - 6.04 is right and checks with other GPS apps, bike computer etc. App and device settings were exactly the same.
Similarly, on 30 August I ran a regular route of 15.2 km and Inspire HR recorded 17.7 km.
The device and the app show the same data. In all cases the route is mapped correctly on the app - it's just the distance that is wrong.
I checked the .tcx file on the 17.7 km record. Google Earth shows a distance traveled of 15.2km, so I assume it's not a phone problem.
I've got the latest app update, I've re-started the device, I've checked and followed AlvaroFitbit's instructions for similar posts, all to no avail. Has anybody got a solution?
