I just got my Inspire HR 3 days ago and am quickly getting disillusioned by the tracking. I have taken two bike rides today, with my Galaxy phone and gps enabled. I have ridden over 7.5 miles (accurately mapped by Map My Ride) but the fitbit says I have only ridden 1.74 miles!? Also, I have not figured out how to access the maps that are supposed to be in my fitbit app. Where are they and how do I get accurate miles?

@RachelM1970 Thanks for stopping by! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your recording GPS maps and distance for your biking activities with your Inspire HR. The tracker doesn't have a GPS chip so you will need to use your phone's GPS chip to track this information. Please check these instructions to enable this feature that is called Connected GPS.
Regarding the distance calculation your device uses the number of steps and stride length to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi @AlvaroFitbit Thank you for your response. I thought that I had this figured out, but it's still eluding me. My gps is working, and so you can see that my ride was recorded as 2.7 miles, which is correct. I made sure that my phone stayed on the whole ride, so it didn't lose the gps connection with my fitbit, but I still get incorrect miles showing up in my dashboard.
I hope you can help me understand this.
Thank you,
Rachel
