Inspire HR tracks steps when not moving

i received the inspire hr. for my birthday on 12-3-20 and i love it! but as i’ve seen during the day it is adding ridiculous amounts of steps when i’m simply not doing anything. i’ve adjusted my stride length, i’ve changed the dominant and non dominant wrist, and i’ve rebooted it. but every single day i get over 2,000 steps when i’m simply not even doing anything ben similar. for example i took. short nap and my steps ran up by almost 500. also my calories are ridiculously high as well. i just want my steps and calories to be accurate but it’s not even close. i got this for the sole purpose of tracking my fitness and the accuracy of it. but it’s not reliable. i’ve wanted this for so long and now the one thing i wanted it for it isn’t working. everything else about this watch is great except for the actual fitness. please please help.

Hi @Nan0003, welcome to our Fitbit Community. Regarding the extra steps that your Inspire HR is taking, I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

In order to avoid providing the same information, let me know if you restarted your Inspire HR as described in this help article. In the meantime, check out this help page, which explains why your Fitbit device may track extra steps.

Looking forward to your response.
