A new Inspire HR, in use for just a few days.
Yesterday evening, synching showed only 3,000 steps on what was probably a 20,000 steps day. Turns out that the Inspire HR seemed to have turned itself off as tapping the screen brought up the smiley face initially before also then showing 3,000 steps.
There was 80% battery
I didn't know the fitbit could switch itself off - is there a reason why it happened and a cure please?
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity.

Thanks for getting back to us and for letting us know that your Inspire HR turned off @MJK43.
Your device shouldn't turn off having battery. Did you check your steps on the day this occurred before having the 3,000? Did you perform a different activity other than your daily activities on that day? Did you notice something different on your device?
I'll be waiting for your response.

Thanks for getting back to us and for sharing your information @MJK43.
With all that you described it must have been an unusual error. I would recommend restarting your tracker and checking if this happens again in the future for further investigation.
