Inspire HR vs. Charge HR

My faithful 3-year-old Charge HR is currently in its death throes, & I expect it to bite the dust completely shortly.  That said, I'm now in the process of researching replacements, especially with all the Xmas sales currently going on.  I'm not a fitness fanatic, nor do I own a Smartphone (nor plan to), so my needs are pretty basic, & the Charge HR has fulfilled them admirably.

So, do I go with another (now very inexpensive) Charge HR, even though it's somewhat obsolete?  Do I advance to the fairly similar Inspire HR?  Or what with all the Google stuff & constant changing of the computer food-input screen, do I go with a different company/tracker altogether?

I know that this will mostly be personal preference, but would love some input - especially from folks who may have had a Charge HR previously & now have the Inspire HR.

Thanks loads in advance!!!  : )

Hi @Bonnie62 nice to see you around. Thank you for sharing your inquiry about Inspire HR.

Both Fitbit models are very reliable! You can see all the features that Inspire HR has in this Fitbit page: Compare your top picks. You will notice that Fitbit Inspire has more features but you can use the basic ones. You will see more details here: Fitbit Inspire™ and Fitbit Inspire HR™ Fitness Trackers

We need to check what model of phone or computer are you going to use to connect your Fitbit. Please check the this help article: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Thanks, but now (just like a woman - lol!), I've changed my mind & somewhat reluctantly decided to go with the Charge 3.  While I like the Inspire's sleeker, narrower profile & don't need most of the bells & whistles since I don't own or use a Smartphone, don't plan to, & don't need to be in constant contact with the outside world, I decided that I WOULD miss the lack of stairs/floors counted, since I do go up & down stairs frequently.  (My husband says that Fitbit must think I live in a lighthouse - lol!)

As far as what my new Fitbit will be connected to - it'll be my good old-fashioned desktop computer.  My current (now deceased) Charge HR account is on their & functions fine, but I understand that I may have to upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 10 or higher for the new Charge 3 to sync?
