Inspire HR will not connect to Bluetooth

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just purchased my Inspire HR.  I'm trying to set it up, but it won't connect to Blue tooth.  I've turned the Blue tooth on and off a few times and it still wont connect.  What else should I try?

HI,

I was having the same problem, what you need to do is go into your phone's bluetooth settings. Find your Inspire HR, click on the blue link, and click "forget this device" then go back into your Fitbit app, remove the Inspire,  and re-set it up as you had first done. This should allow you to get it back up and running.

Thank you. Finally figured that out. I appreciate your response. I’m It is syncing now, however, it now doesn’t show the stages of sleep. This is very frustrating. I wear my Fitbit in the same place as always. Once it got reset and started syncing it quit recording stages of sleep. It’s been a week now.

i know this is old, but ran into/resolved a similar issue so thought i would post in case it helps someone down the line.

1.on the fitbit device hit the side button, until the battery icon appears

2. scroll down and make sure screen wake and notifications are enabled.

my screen wake got disabled and once i enabled it, we were good to go.

Thanks for your email.

My inspire is only patially connected.
Number of steps is transmitted.
Hearte rate and sleep information is not transmitted properly.
The fitbit time was not correct. Now it is ok somehow.

Fitbit movement does not turn on the display.

I did reset the fitbit inspiron, now I do not see it on the smartphone
bluetooth devices, but there is some data transfer.

Thanks

I'm still having problems syncing.  Every single time, I have to restart my computer (not just the Fitbit app, my entire computer).  Then, if I'm quick and careful and do the sync right away and restart my Fitbit itself at the right time, it usually connects successfully and finally syncs.  Otherwise I have to start over.

I've experimented with turning off All Day Sync, but haven't noticed a difference either way.

The Fitbit seems to form a connection with my computer, but then it can't find that connection and can't make a new one because it's already connected.   I've gone in and told my laptop to unpair from my Inspire HR, but that still doesn't allow it to reconnect in a working way.  The only thing I've found that works is restarting the computer, and then it's good for one sync before it forgets its own connection and refuses to form another.

That doesn’t work... I have tried just about every troubleshooting technique out there. But my issue has been going on for MONTHS. I can’t actually GO anywhere to get help right now obviously, so I’m about ready to put this in the junk drawer and call it quits. I’m very over this. I have deleted the app, deleted the Fitbit data, turned off Bluetooth, turned off my phone, restarted the Fitbit, and tried deleting and re-adding my Fitbit but that won’t work because syncing the Fitbit to the app is what started this in the first place. I have gone down rabbit hole after rabbit hole in the Fitbit Community and I am done with this. Is anyone else have issues with it as severe as this?

Sorry. I really understand your frustration. Have you tried plugging in your Fitbit, then press the side button and hold it down until you see the smiley face. Sometimes it fibrates, mine does not. But that reboots your device. This is what syncs mine every time. Good luck!
Mine isn’t syncing my sleep so I see the levels of sleep. Don’t junk it. Take it back where you bought it. Fitbit has a year warranty. I replaced mine once already. 😊

All working now. I followed KrissyCooper's guide and it worked ok.
Thank you for your respond.

That was one of the first things I tried. I’ve seen that it works for other people though, so maybe I’m just especially bad with technology.😂 Thanks for the advice anyway.

I had the same issue. It would not connect to bluetooth to complete setup. My issue was that I had plugged the charger into my computer to get a charge and attached the fitbit. For some reason, this was causing the issue. As soon as I plugged the charger into the wall and connected the fitbit (and restarted the app), it discovered it and it was able to finish setup.

I had this problem , although previously it was working fine. After hours of trying various things , turning blue tooth off and on etc.
what finally worked for me was deleting the Fitbit app and reinstalling it. I know it say you will loose previous saved data hence I was reluctant to do that. However when I did reinstall it I had the old data back. I have Apple iPhone 7plus. I hope this helps someone and save them a few hours.

Have not had a problem with my Inspire HR until today.  I've done all the above that MissUnderstd's done to no avail.  How do I fix this???

What I did was to go to settings on my phone find inspire hr if it’s showing , then forget this device. If it’s not showing or after you forget the device turn off blue tooth. Now go to fit bit app and delete the app, once the app is deleted , fully turn off the phone and leave it off for two mins.
Whilst the phone is off , connect the Fitbit to its magnetic charger, while it’s connected to the charger press and hold the side button until you a simily face on fit bit . Now you can let go.

Turn on your phone and down load the Fitbit app, and in about a min you will see message “do you want pair this device “ accept this and it should start working again.

I hope this helps

I did this several times through the Fitbit app, still no BT connection. The inspire HR won’t pair with my wife’s iPhone SE. Moved all my BT devices away from the inspire and her phone. Still no luck.

Turned the BT off /on, remove / reinstalled the app, turned the iPhone off/on.

I have a iPhone 11 Pro running IOS 13.7. New Inspire HR just received. Followed all steps listed and I also deleted and reinstalled Fitbit app on my phone. Deleted prior Alta HR too.
Next?
