I just purchased my Inspire HR. I'm trying to set it up, but it won't connect to Blue tooth. I've turned the Blue tooth on and off a few times and it still wont connect. What else should I try?

Delete and reinstall the fitbit app.

Hi @Grandma-Lo-Lo What phone are you using? Is it on the Supported Devices List?
Try the suggestions in THIS Help Article on Setup issues.

It would be very helpful if you could post your phone model, there may be known workaround to your model. While there is an officially supported list, some phones may still do better than others when it comes to interfacing.
If your tracker has a reset function on it, I found this usually gets the item to connect the second time around.

I have I have the same problem. I have spent all day trying to get mine to connect. I have uninstalled the Fitbit app twice and have deleted all other Bluetooth devices that were connected to my phone and it still will not connect. I have an LG V10. And the Fitbit device does not seem to have a reset button. Any ideas?

Are we trying to receive smartphone notifications on our Fitbit? As far as I can tell, the Fitbit Inspire isn't really a Bluetooth device. I'm done trying to "connect" it to Bluetooth. In order to receive smartphone notifications, I had to turn on notifications in the Fitbit app, and then choose the specific notifications that I want to receive on my wrist.

Not sure if this will help anyone or not, but i have been having trouble all morning with connections as well. I was able to get the Inspire HR set up, installed the firmware, and was fine for about half an hour. Went to the gym and realized that it was no longer syncing with my phone. (One thing to note, for some reason Fitbit decided to use their app for BT connectivity instead of the native Bluetooth options the phone uses, so you have to connect via the app)
What finally seemed to make a difference was removing an old Flex that I lost years ago, that was in the app for some reason... The Inspire immediately sync'd. We'll see if I have any more issues, but try removing old devices in the app.
Hope that helps. 🙂

My Inspire HR shows as connected but will not allow the sync all day option-it tells me I need to pair my Fitbit with Bluetooth.
I have ave made sure my iPhone XR is up to date. I have restarted my phone and reset my Fitbit several times.
I’m trying to get my heart rate to show in real time in the app and it won’t. I have told my other devices to forget my HR so nothing should be interfering.
Help please!

I've reset my Fitbit Inspire HR
I deleted and reinstalled the app
Turned my bluetooth on and off numerous times
Still won't pair with bluetooth and because of this not the app.
What do I do now

I misspoke! The Inspire IS a Bluetooth device. Pairing was very simple!

I was having the same problem connecting as well to the bluetooth. What they don't tell you in their stupid setup instructions or troubleshooting steps or even talking to a person on live chat is that to connect, you have to do it through the fitbit app, not the phone's bluetooth. I went through a month long rigamarole of talking to someone, getting issued a replacement, having to ship it and wait for the new one. When the new one came in, it still didn't work, I was ready to get my money back. And when I called to do so, the agent still wanted to troubleshoot! But this time, he skipped all of the previous steps I had to do before and told me to connect through the app:
If you open up the fitbit app, and click on your picture (or the blank grey person if you don't have a picture set up) in the top left corner will take you to options. Go to setup device with the plus sign. Then follow whatever steps it gives you.
It was literally that easy. I am actually infuriated at how easy it connected this way after everything I went through, so I hope that this post will help someone and save them from the same ridiculousness as I had to go through.

My FitbitHR has been syncing fine for several months. It’s not syncing now. When I checked through all places to be sure it’s on, I notice that now in my Bluetooth it says it’s not connected. My Bluetooth is on but even with “sync now” it just keeps looking and can’t find it. How do I get my Fitbit connected to my phone again?

I’m having this same issue. I just bought it yesterday and paired just fine. Then this morning it’s not working. I tried to do everything So far as suggested. Shutdown phone. Turn on/off Bluetooth. Set device. So dang frustrating especially after just one night. I have iPhone7s

I'm connecting to my laptop through Windows 10, since I don't see any point having data on a tiny little phone. Pairing is a long, drawn-out nightmare every time. After restarting the entire laptop it usually works sooner or later (rarely the first, second or third time, though), but this would be 1,000 times easier if there was just a cord I could use to connect directly rather than through Bluetooth.
Does it get easier? Will I eventually be able to try only 3 or 4 times before it finally syncs? I'd love to eventually have the process take less than half an hour. One of the most frustrating things is that it often doesn't even give a message when it stops trying. I have to watch as it tries for a connection, and then lots of times it just gives up with no notice, so I try again. After many tries, I get the cryptic message Bonding has failed. Bonding is in progress. (which is it?) By saying that bonding can't occur because it's bonding, apparently that means go into Bluetooth connections and cut off all of the paired devices, and then in a dozen more tries it might work!
