I just purchased my Inspire HR. I'm trying to set it up, but it won't connect to Blue tooth. I've turned the Blue tooth on and off a few times and it still wont connect. What else should I try?

I thought I had done everything, but saw posts that helped. 1. Do not charge your fitbit through your computer. 2. KEEP YOU FITBIT PLUGGED IN THROUGHOUT THE SET UP. I had been unplugging it when it was fully charged, but the instructions do say to keep it plugged in. As soon as I did that it was easy, just like KrissyCooper said!

Yup - mine worked perfectly for 8 months and now is clearly malfunctioning - tablet, phone and laptop worked fine, then all stopped simultaneously.
Trying to set up it is recognised by the various devices, starts its process to sync into bluetooth then......nothing. Just keeps saying 'taking longer than usual'. I'm now done with Fitbit devices too.

Am thinking something has updated somewhere in the firmware, or in Android or Bluetooth and has switched us all off.

I want to thank everyone that took the time to post here. In my case, it was a huge pain for a long time, I tried all sorts of weird things (restart this and then that in a specific order, hold down this button while at the same time plugging in something else, turn in circles three times muttering a chant) - these things sometimes worked, sometimes didn't. It was never quick or easy. Then finally, for no apparent reason, it just figured itself out and now it works consistently.
Now it's easy, but I haven't forgotten what a nasty nightmare it was for a long time. I hope Fitbit is paying attention! It shouldn't be this complicated.

I am deafened by the lack of response from Fitbit to get this fixed!

Thankyou, I've tried just about everything these past tow days to sort this out, then came across your post, which I was thinking of doing anyway. But it has worked...for now!

My inspire hr has also quit syncing with the iPad for the last week. I had updated the app, and am still on ios12 because I knew there were issues with ios13. Have not updated the iPad to iOS 14 yet. I have removed the device from my Bluetooth list on the iPad. Turned off Bluetooth. Turned it back on. Plugged the charger into a wall outlet (it doesn’t seem to like any USB outlets, not just one on the laptop). Held the side button til I get the smiley face. It will then reconnect to Bluetooth on the iPad, but only sync steps and calories. No sleep, exercise, or heart rate. Next day, won’t sync again and have to go thru the whole process again. I was tracking sleep for my doctor. This is frustrating. And quickly becoming worthless! Any new suggestions?

Great! KrissyCooper, you made my day. After innumerable trials and failures, I saw your post, took up your advice, "If you open..." Prompto, with in seconds my phone, Moto x4 and Inspire HR were synchronising. It was literally that easy. Thank you.

I have a samsung s20 running version 11 and I reset my phone and cleared data on fitbit inspire hr everything was working fine. I decided to use it again 5 days later and know won't sync and Bluetooth says its paired but won't connect says meets a app to connect but the fitbit app is all set up. Can anyone suggest anything. I have done the rebooting both uninstalling and reinstalling everything, so help please.
