Hello~ I charged my Fitbit, set up the account, verified my email, but when I try to connect my FB to Bluetooth on my ASUS computer, with Windows 10, it will not connect. It keeps telling me to try connecting again. Do I need a Fitbit dongle, or is there something else I am missing? Thank you!

@kreis7949 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well!
Let me help you syncing your Inspire HR with your Windows 10 computer. To sync with your computer you will need to have the Fitbit app installed on your account not via the bluetooth area. You can read more about how the syncing process work for a computer here.
Let me know how it goes.

May I ask what you meant by "not by the Bluetooth area"? Don't you need to connect the inspire through Bluetooth in windows 10 settings? If not then how does the fitbit sync with windows 10 pc? No matter what I do I cannot get Windows 10 Bluetooth to even see the inspire, It did when I had it connected by its charging cable and then restarted the inspire, And for a few seconds Windows 10 showed the Inspire in the list but then it would disappear. Did this multiple times. Same result.

@Mossyfrog Welcome! It's great to see you around!
Thank you for your inquiry. I meant exactly that, you don't sync the tracker from the bluetooth area. The link is handled by the Fitbit app. You will need to go to the app store and download it from there. The link in my previous post has a guide to help you sync your tracker with your computer.
Keep me posted.

Well that's interesting. I wish Fitbit would mention this...or if they do where? Oh I see you gave a link. I'll have to look at that. It's strange as I thought in order for any device to work with Windows 10 you would need to have Windows connect it through Bluetooth or Windows would not allow it. How exactly does Fitbit get around this? Even using an app on Windows, that requires Bluetooth to be able to sync. Would require Windows setting to set up the connection through Bluetooth. I'm confused as how Fitbit gets around Windows connection through Bluetooth.

My Inspire will only show up in the list under settings/Bluetooth on Windows 10 if I have it plugged in through the charger/USB and then I have to restart/reboot the Inspire by holding down the button for 5 seconds. But after a few seconds it disappears with that same error message you get "try again". Then I'm told by Reps that you do not need to connect it through windows through Bluetooth? That the app does it automatically? I would like to know how it would do that if not connected through Bluetooth. Windows would not allow the connection of the app which is what happens, The app cannot sync. At this point if you were to ask me. The Inspire Bluetooth is crap. And I know it's not my machine/pc/windows as all other devices I have connect perfectly fine. At this point I'm at a loss to figure it out. And I have followed like others exactly the process.

Fantastic 🙂 . I really think the Bluetooth in these are really shoddy. They don't work well or sporadically. I do want to say though, that even though this issue is frustrating, so far I really like my Inspire. I have no issue's at all connecting the Bluetooth with my phone or Tab.....Ugh. Just checked as I was writing this. Lost connection on my Tab and now will not sync!

Try this: At least for Andriods: Go into settings, select Battery,
1. turn off Standby intelligent power saver
2. go to the 3 dots, select battery optimization
3. next screen should be 'Not optimized'. All, ALL your blue tooth functions need to be listed, as well Fitbit.
4. If not, select the little DOWN Arrow, choose 'All apps'
5. scroll down to each blue tooth function, if it says 'Blue Tooth or BT', tap it.
6. select 'Don't optimize.' Tap done.
7. do the same for 'Fitbit.'
8. get out of settings, start over at 'Add a new device.'
9. It might take a while. See this You Tube video by Mike the Brit: https://youtu.be/Z0iqx-l3cMg
10. He does not tell you to un-optimize the Blue Tooth functions, but I had no luck, so I decide to let the
Blue Tooths run free.

trying to do setup on iPad app for Aspire HR but unable to get past need to connect to blue tooth as aspire is not showing in pair list

I've had nothing but problems when trying to sync to my iPhone, tablet, or even on Fitbit's own website dashboard. I've repeatedly done every trouble-shooting step mostly to no avail.
It seems to sync ONLY when Fitbit decides it will. This is very frustrating. My Inspire HR has not synced to my phone, tablet, or to the Fitbit website dashboard since 10:19 a.m. yesterday. This is ridiculous, and multiple people have had/are having this same problem.
I also have a $30 Wyze band which has no problems syncing. It doesn't have all the features of the Inspire (but has at least one that the Inspire HR doesn't have), but it is MUCH more reliable. If Wyze can do this with their first $30 activity tracker, Fitbit should be able to make theirs sync. !!!!!
If I can ever get yesterday's and today's (and any following day's) data to sync, I'm sending my Inspire HR back. I really like it IF/when it works, and I will try one more and hope it will work more reliably. (I'm within my amazon return window and can reorder a replacement.) If that one isn't better, I'm done with Fitbit.

I am having the same problem. I have installed the Fitbit app on 3 devices. 2 Android and 1 Windows 10 device. I can't get my Inspire to pair with Bluetooth on any device. I have followed the instructions and have reset the Inspire several times. My Fitbit does not respond to tapping on the front face. The side button brings up the Fitbit logo and a Fitbit.com/Setup scrolling across the bottom. Nothing else happens. All the devices can see the FItbit in Bluetooth settings but refuses to pair under any circumstances.
