Inspire HR will not stay connected to bluetooth - Pixel 2 XL

This is extremely frustrating!  I bought the Inspire HR 2 days ago to replace the Charge 2 that I currently have (going on 2 years) because of a cracked screen and really it is time.

Now I am ready to look for a new tracker - that is NOT a Fitbit

Does anyone have a working solution to keep this device connected to Pixel 2 XL through bluetooth???

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit App.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Inspire HR numerous times.  I have tried Force quitting the Fitbit App.  I have powered down my phone and have tried also restarting my phone.  I have powered down the tracker.  Nothing will keep the Inspire HR connected to my phone.

Whenever I want to sync my data, I have to remove the Inspire HR from the Fitbit app and re-add it as a new device, then it will connect to bluetooth on my phone.  This will sync my data then connectivity is lost again and I have to go through the process all over.

I have read the threads about this issue in the Fitbit community and it appears issues are going back to May of this year.  I think it is obvious (at least to me) that Fitbit doesn't want to address or fix this issue.  So unless I can get a resolution in the next couple of days, I will be returning the Inspire HR and will be searching for other exercise tracking devices outside of Fitbit family.

In following up to my recent post, I have a work phone that is an iPhone.  I thought I would try installing the Fitbit app on my work phone to see if it would sync.  Believe it or not, I am having no issues with syncing my tracker to the Fitbit app on my iPhone.  TECH SUPPORT please look into software issues with android phones and your Fitbit app!  There is definitely a disconnect and problem!
