Inspire HR will not turn on, charge, vibrate and is not discoverable!

I have tried all the suggested steps in previous posts with replies giving instructions. I tried to change the clock face and my app said it had a low battery and could not connect. It has the charging pins engaged, but there is absolutely no response. No vibration, not even a flicker. I have tried numerous times over 10 days to charge it, to no avail. It is 10-1/2 months old. I purchased it when my Alta HR quit working before a year of use.

So here we are again and my husband says he doesn’t want me to get another Fitbit as they obviously do not last. HELP!!!  At this point he said just use a pedometer. Do what???  I’m lost without it.

How are you charging it?

See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

I am charging correctly, per the instructions. It always lasted 5-7 days until last week when it blacked out and has stayed out.

A 4 month old fitbit inspire my possession is owned buy an elderly neighbour. It was provided to me after not charging. On closer inspection, have swapped the usb cable to a new proven adaptor and still not charging, The terminals appear to self align due to the presence of magnets. Ensured all contacts were clean / free of dead skin. Upon trying to connect/disconnect a hundred or so times, I saw the momentary dead battery icon on the screen twice, and the time once, for durations of less than 1 second. On the third reconnection, it was noted that squeezing the watch and charge cable together after getting an electrical connection could result in the electrical contact being maintained. As soon as the squeezing stopped, it returned to a state of not charging. It appears, in this case, to be as though the pins in the charging cable are either not long enough, or perhaps springs under the pins are not powerful enough to maintain an electrical contact. I have another fitbit owned by a partner. It no longer syncs over bluetooth. Next watch for us will be an iWatch or Garmin.

After reading through some of the posted questions, I’m amazed at the sheer number of users with exactly the same description of their issues. I would think the powers that be would realize, Hmmmmm. We certainly have a continuing problem we have not successfully dealt with as yet. We need to get on the ball and fix it.

I would so love to have it miraculously start working as it should and keep going. I’ve adapted to it so well that I’m having a hard time without it.
