Hello,
I have received this fitbit as a gift for my birthday in 2021. After going into the pool with my children, my fitbit suddenly stopped working. I have tried to extract the moisture from the device by putting it into a bag of rice for 48 hours. No luck. The device heats up when charging and it will not power on.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi @altank81 Sadly it sounds as if one of the seals has failed. There is nothing that can be done. I think you need a new watch

Thanks for replying. That is unfortunate. I reviewed many of the postings on this community and it appears there are many issues with water seeping into these devices. I don't think i'll be getting another fitbit.
Thanks for your help anyways.

I was so excited when I saw mine tracking my swimming as activity points. The next day it stopped working for good. I think it's time for me to move on to another brand too.

This sounds depressingly familiar. I came here to report the exact same thing. I received it as a birthday gift in September 2020, and have always taken it off to shower since the day after I received it to avoid inflating my step count. Went swimming in it for the first — and last — time last week while on holiday, and it firstly showed a black screen and wouldn't switch on, but the green LED was still flashing and I could hold the button down and get the vibration. Later the LEDs went out and it refused to charge. Less than three years and it appears to be dead. Pretty poor.
