Even though the Inspire HR is said to be water resistant, I do not wear it in the shower or while swimming or doing dishes, etc. On the 4th of July, I took a dunk in a pool and the fitbit was immersed. I immediately removed it but since then, it will not turn on or charge. I can sometimes get it to show that smiley face but it does not fire up. Is it broken for good? I thought you were supposed to be able to swim with it? What gives

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @knitalife.
I am sorry to hear your Inspire HR tracker won't charge or turn on after wearing it in the pool. Thanks for trying to resolve this and I am here to help. I appreciate the additional details, I understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. Fitbit Inspire HR is swimproof in a lake, pool, or ocean (up to 50 meters). For more information, see Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device?
I recommend following the troubleshooting instructions from this help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

It's dead. So disappointing. I didn't even swim with it on, I just jumped in a pool, realized right away that I was wearing it and immediately took it off. My friend that I was with didn't even bother to take hers off. I have had it about a year. I guess it's just planned obsolescence with these things. I had one that lasted about a year and one that fell off my wrist after a couple of months of use.
