Inspire HR won't recognize increased heart rate for 19 minutes

First: I have updated the firmware and restarted the Fitbit

Second: I am wearing it at the correct point on the arm (having read the few hundred responses from customer support to other people that say this is the solution)

Third: I am not wearing it too tight, or too loose

When I am at rest, it is correctly measuring my heart rate.  Confirmed this with a watch and fingers on pulse.  When I begin my indoor cycling, my chest monitor registers the increased heart rate correctly and immediately.  The Inspire HR continues to show at rest HR.  No sweat yet to interfere.  Correct placement and tightness.  After 19 minutes, the Inspire HR registers a HR that matches the chest monitor almost exactly.  Didn't do anything different.  Just suddenly decided to start registering of it's own accord.

Why is there more than 15 minutes during which the Inspire HR does not register the exercise?  Why does this seem to be an ongoing issue for all of the HR models?  The whole point of anyone getting an HR version is because they want to track their heart rate, so why does Fitbit not get this fixed?

And please do not respond that I should have a replacement sent as there are many many posts from people who have received a replacement, and still have the same problem.

Even the most dominant companies can crash if they do not meet the needs and expectations of the customers.  Anyone remember Blackberry?

@Angus68 Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your heart rate reading while exercising and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.
