I'm trying to swipe up or down on my Inspire HR and I can't. The main screen lights up but I can't swipe to any others. It worked fine yesterday. Can I restart it?

I have an Inspire with the same problem, but when I tried to reset like you would an Inspire HR, it didn’t work.
Please help because I tried taking it off the app and now it won’t show the four digit code to add it back on.

Same problem just received it and it crashes when I swipe up.
I just did the reset on the charger as suggested that worked.

I just freed up mine that wouldn't scroll by doing a sync. The restart process is always frustrating because of the "5 second" press and hold. I wasted 20 minutes failing to get that magic hold time. Is the vibration the start of the 5 seconds? Nothing worked tonight. I've been able to get it 3 times in the past but tonight just wasn't happening. Fitbit should change the procedure to "press and hold until it restarts" instead of having a target hold time.

It's been almost 2 days since my Inspire (basic one) stopped swiping. I reviewed these recommendations this morning and none of them are working. It started Monday night--so I plugged it on the charger over night. That didn't reset the device. It synced with my app Tuesday morning. That didn't reset the device. This morning I read the instructions on connecting it to the charging device and hold the button for 5 seconds. All that happened was the screen turned off. There was no smily face letting me know it reset. I'm kinda at my wits end. Help!

I have the same problem and coincidentally it stopped working at the same time. (as ohgracie98)
i have successfully soft reset it 3 times, but swipe still doesn’t work at all. Button press shows clock face and correct time. Button hold gets me to battery level and notifications screen, and no other screens are possible. Sync also works fine.
do I need to consider factory reset?
Oh, I forgot, factory reset isn’t an option because I can’t swipe up to settings
And I verified it’s not a faulty/broken touch screen because holding the button to get to battery percent and screen wake screen allows me to enable / disable screen wake on touch.
Anyone have any ideas of what to try next?

I can't even figure out how to post the same problem on this forum, having the same issues, tried the same things... Did you get your fit bit fixed?
Thanks in advance. Have a great day 🙂

I don't remember how it reset itself. It could've been when I restarted my phone. All I know is later in the day that I posted my reply, it fixed itself. I don't think the FitBit people are even reviewing these replies because the original post is marked as solved. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck!

Nope, my wife’s inspire is dead for sure. We returned it for them to validate about 6 days ago. Hoping they validate and send a working one to us soon.

I thought my granddaughter broke hers a few weeks back so I took it away from her! Then mine stopped tonight! I had to find out if this was a common issue. I HOPE it doesn't continue to happen. I definitely do not want to keep resetting it, even if it is a soft reset. It should work without having to do that! Thanks for the instructions. THEY WERE HELPFUL!!

The reset method works for me but takes around 8 seconds before I get the smiley face. I've had my inspire for 3 days and have had to a reset every morning as the screen tends to stop responding towards the end of the day. My cheap plastic Xiaomi amazfit bio hasn't had this issue ever & the inspire was my upgrade for swimming. Would be grateful for a fix for this daily reset.
