Inspire HR won't sych with Window 10 Fitbit app

Having looked through the forums, it seems that many of us have the same or similar problem.  Here's mine:

1. Bought the FitBit Inspire HR yesterday

2. After several attempts to download and install the FitBit app for Windows 10, I was able to do so (restarting the computer made it work...I blame MS store)

3. Created a FitBit account

4. Charged the tracker from the computer using the included charger, and was able to synch the device with the app yesterday

5. Today the device won't synch at all.  Bluetooth is working, the device is recognized in Window.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, turning off and on Bluetooth, and resetting the tracker.  Same message each time: "Bonding failed" etc.  

6. As a side note, I was unable to log into my Fitbit account because the correct password was not recognized.  I say "correct" because when I tried to reset the password, it would not accept the original password, so I had to change it by one character to make it work.  

 

Is there any chance this is ever going to work?
