Inspire HR won't sync with Huawei tablet

Had my Fitbit Inspire Hr for about a week now and have had serious issues syncing with my Huawei tablet. Every time the app struggles to locate and sync with my Fitbit. I go through the steps of switching Bluetooth on and off and on same with location. Then close the app and restart it. Then reset the fitbit. Etc. Etc.

Sometimes it syncs after a couple of attempts; most of the time I have to restart numerous times for the app to pick it up. This makes using my fitbit really difficult and not worth the effort.

I spoke to Fitbit support just now who tell me that the fitbit app is only fully tested on a select few devices and even if your phone or tablet is running Android 7 or above and the app generally works, if your device isn't one of their select few, it isn't deemed compatible and any issues are assumed to be your device, not their buggy software or their fitbit device.

The upshot seems to be Fitbit will only support you if you own one of their fully tested devices. Anything else, you are on your own, even if your device is running a supported version of Android.

Think I will be returning my Fitbit which is a real shame...

Unfortunately Fitbit have felt the need to change the title of my post to hide the fact that my issue isn't just about not being able to sync on my tablet, but that Fitbit only support limited devices that have been fully tested and if your device isn't one of the few listed, they won't provide you with support with ongoing issues due to their buggy software. BUYER BEWARE!

THIS JUST SHOWS FITBIT ARE ACTIVELY SURPRESSING PROBLEMS ON THEIR OWN HELP FORUMS... says a lot!

According to Fitbit support, only devices that they have fully tested (on their small list of devices) , are supported by them when there are issues with the Inspire HR. Even if your device is running a compatible operating system, if it isn't on their list, they will not take responsibility for any issues that arise with their buggy software.

Most posts in this section relate to users having problems with syncing their fitbit or getting it recognised by devices (the app works fine on my Android tablet and syncs but only after umpteen attempts restarting, Bluetooth on/off, etc and lots of messing about if I'm lucky). Clearly there is an issue that affects lots of users but please be aware that unless your device is one of the few listed, Fitbit will hide behind the excuse that 'your device hasn't been fully tested so use an approved device instead'. Only problems on an approved device will be handled by them and a replacement fitbit sent out.

If you are having problems and have a return window with your retailer, I would advise you investigate that before you end up with an expensive wrist band...

Also be aware that Fitbit alters posts in this forum to hide this fact. Says a lot really...
