My Inspire HR stopped syncing. I am now unable to connect it to my Android phone.

It had been working fine for over a year and now it will not connect or sync

Hi there, @cjmwagner. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Inspire HR.

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend trying the following steps:

  • Unpair your Inspire HR from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Inspire HR.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Inspire HR.
  • Once your Inspire HR is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Inspire HR first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Have tried most of those steps already.

I followed your instructions exactly as written.

The fitbit app recognizes the fitbit and the fitbit sends a pairing code.

I enter the code in the fitbit app and get the message connecting.

After a few minutes the fitbit app gives me the following message:

"Sorry, the setup is taking longer than usual. Please be patient. We're on it!"

Well apparently that is not true because it is still trying to connect 30 minutes later.
