I put my Fitbit Inspire HR on the charger as I had previously done, but the display has stayed black, and it is randomly vibrating. Sometimes, a happy face will appear, then fades away and the screen stays black.

I am not alone! I have exactly the same problem: My sync did't work for a week or so, I followed the troubleshooting steps, tried to re-boot... Now I am waiting for the customer support to reply

My Fitbit doesn’t turn on I’ve charged it I saw a message to sync it and I tried but in order to synchronize it has to be turned on?

@GMA67 Yes, it has to be on to synchronize.

My Inspire Hr is dead. Charged it and now it just vibrates every few seconds. Called support, very accommodating (or so I thought). He offered me a free replacement or 50% off another Fitbit device. Watch for email. When I entered my info it didn’t give me an option for a different device. I called them back and she said they would not honor the 50%. Even after she put me on hold and “talked to her supervisor”. Getting the same Ionic HR but not happy with Fitbit. Hope this one lasts longer than 6 weeks!

My daughter's InspireHR is now dead. As everyone else reports, there is nothing on the display even though fully charged, it buzzes every thirty seconds or so, and trying to restart it shows the smiley face for about 8 seconds, a few seconds after holding down the button for 5 seconds while connected to the USB charging adapter. Also, it has not synced since around April 22nd. I bought this InspireHR for my daughter a month ago. The battery has only lasted about 40 hours before needing recharge, which is less than half of advertised. Daughter loves it, but is not happy now. It think it tried to update firmware version and that is when it bricked. I will be calling customer service shortly to discuss.

My battery was at 56% @ 6:30 this morning and now at 4:46 pm it is 25% that seems odd that it can run on that much for 2 1/2 more days!?

The customer support is awesome! Very polite and understanding, and I am getting new tracker in exchange to broken one

Bought an Inspire. It came out of the box with 43 percent charge. 10 minutes later it was dead. I troubleshooted, read the boards called customer service. Polite, but their best offer is to have me mail mine back first, and then only after they receive it will they process a replacement order ... IN NO LESS THAN FOUR WEEKS! I live in a major U.S. city. This is ridiculous.
Given how well documented this problem is on fitbit's own website, you'd think they'd have a better handle on this problem. I've been disheartened by fitbit's general business model of dumping the simpler and more affordable models for expensive, complex devices and silly fashion wristbands. But not providing a working device at or close to the time of purchase? Awful customer service.
I look forward to exploring the competitors.

If your tracker isn't turning on, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:
- Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
- Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
- Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
- Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
Let me know the outcome. 😊
vibrate. I have tried restarting it and nothing happens. I have tried holding it to the charger also. That doesn't work.

Just changed the clock face as you suggested and it worked. Kind of a weird fix, but I’ll take it. Thanks!

Just a tip to everyone having the issue: go straight to the phone customer support. The E-mail support is useless and frustrating but the phone support was fine. Now, the real test will be to see what happens with my replacement in a few weeks....

Add another post to the fire. My Inspire HR for 6-weeks went on the fritz yesterday. Same blank screen. Same 8 sec smiley. Same micro vibration. Same blank screen. Calling customer service. Thank you for the number Rachwe.
