Inspire HR won't turn on

I put my Fitbit Inspire HR on the charger as I had previously done, but the display has stayed black, and it is randomly vibrating. Sometimes, a happy face will appear, then fades away and the screen stays black.

Hi,

My Inspire HR turned off randomly for the first time today (I've had it for 1 month). Battery was at 57%.

I've restarted it, and all is good now.

I read somewhere that the display will turn off if the fitbit is covered up; is this why my fitbit turned off? I had it under my jacket for a while. Please let me know!

I love my Fitbit and don't want to have to replace it!

I have the smile and it vibrates.  However, when I go on my phone to set up this new fitbit (different model than my old one), it says that someone already has my email.  (It's the one I used when I had my Alta.)

What do I do?

Try deleting the Fitbit app and then reading it.

My charger is on...when I try to set up this different fitbit (Inspire HR instead of Alta) it says they can't do it because someone (it's me) already has that email adress!

Try this: When you install and log on to the Fitbit App, select "Existing
User" instead of "New User". Then once logged in to your account, click on
the "Account" icon on the bottom and then add a new tracker. Hope it helps.

With hand movement, it’s not turning on...what is that we need to do to this problem?...my earlier charge 2 stopped working in less than 5 years (life of your products)  and so bought this last month...why are you making these products for people to figure out fixes wasting a lot of time....

That’s a great question and not the first of many made by others and truly all Fitbit has done is continue to try and “fix” the problem. Yet there are still people having them.
Come on Fitbit!!!

Hope your fitbit is working well.....If it does, don't assume it will be forever....fitbit has to learn from iPhone on making products that will function.....My fitbit doesnt turn on with hand movement, although it worked day 1.  Somewhere I ready that we try changing clock faces......no wonder fitbit stock is $3.67...this is where all will reflect...good luck!

Me again.

My fitbit ran out of battery. Now I'm charging it and it won't turn on at all. Before I was just having the synch issue (which resolved with teh clock change workaround).

But now it's like it's bricked. What do I do? Its just an expensive, useless bracelet now.

I am on my second one in 6mths, first one was replaced under guarantee and its now doing the exact same thing as the first one, I have managed to get it going this time, but the first one did restart and then stopped restarting even after following the below steps hence getting it replaced, hope this one doesn't go the same way.

Total fed up of it, my old fit bit which I had 3years never had a single issue, I just wanted a waterproof one and that was the only reason I changed, wished I hadn't bothered, if I still had my old one I would be back to using it.

very disappointed and wont be buying an other.

Hi All, I have had the very same problem as many of you. The replacement that Fitbit sent to me stopped even charging after (another) two months. We tried everything. (I didn't even go in water of any kind with the replacement!) I tried to give it another go last week, wanting to count 12000K steps a day for a fall health kick, and why did I think it would magically work this time? After years of Fitbitting, I have lost all faith in the product and frankly its accuracy. That was 99 euros and a lot of hassle and time. Fitbit, we all so wanted your product and it is too bad this one a dud.

I'm having the same issue.

Right out of the box.

Within the hour of it fully charged and setup.

I walked 1 mile and when I checked the screen, it was off. Pressing the button did nothing.

The app indicated it was fully charged. When I plugged the Inspire to my computer, it turned on and it indicated a full charge. But the moment I unplug it, it turns off.

I tried the reset, unpairing and pairing again, changed the clock face and it still has the same problem.

Really wanted to track my sleep to get better at getting more sleep per night but this problem already has kept me up an hour past my bedtime lmao

The smile face came and went. I let the button go during one smile period and the screen came back to life.

Thanks.

I'm having the same issue as originally reported. I plugged it into charge and it showed the smiley face once. Since then, it's been totally black. My phone can't detect the device anymore (it last synced yesterday evening), so I can't change the clock face. I've tried restarting repeatedly by holding the button down for 8 seconds and releasing. It's also not showing the battery logo when I plug it in and never vibrates from any action. Basically, it seems like it totally bricked after initially showing the smiley face. It actually shouldn't even be out of batteries - was at 60% yesterday evening.
