I put my Fitbit Inspire HR on the charger as I had previously done, but the display has stayed black, and it is randomly vibrating. Sometimes, a happy face will appear, then fades away and the screen stays black.

I just bought the inspire it will plug in and vibrate but will not turn on. No smile nothing

I have the same problem as device only displays time. The reboot did not solve the problem.

That original solution doesn't seem to be working for most everyone who is having this problem with their device, including me.
What I did was resync my Bluetooth from the app - this problem has occurs 3 times in the last few months and each time resyncing the Bluetooth worked.
1. Open the Fitbit app on your phone
2. Click on your profile image
3. Click on the device in question
4. Resync
The resync can take bloody forever, but I do find that my device screen display seems to work immediately. Not sure if this is a Bluetooth issue or my device needs to be replaced... It's not even a year old.
Anyway, I hope this helps you all - if not than I'm not sure what else you can try, but do keep a note as to what you do in case you find an alternate solution that which you can post to this forum later.

The complaints I am reading are disconcerting, to say the least. My Fitbit Inspire is less than two years old and yesterday, the screen just went black. It won't charge, no green lights flashing, nothing. The last couple of times I have charged it, the charge has not held as long as usual but now it won't do anything and I have tried all the steps mentioned. Does anyone have a phone number that I can call?

I was having the same issue, received a replacement and the replacement is doing the same thing. Can't even pair the replacement because the screen won't turn on!

I have tried restarting my Fitbit but nothing is happening. I charged it yesterday and it was working fine. This morning it was just a black screen doesn't do anything at all. Very frustrating what can be done?

I had this issue out of the box. Many of the solutions are not applicable, because I couldn't even set it up. It is fully charged, I have restarted multiple times, but it will not turn on. Very upsetting.

My inspire was working fine, but all of a sudden the screen went black. At first I could still sync it with the app which showed the battery was at 70%, but it then stopped syncing at all and the app says it can’t locate a device. I tried charging it for at least 3 hours and have tried the restart directions with no response at all to holding the button while connected to the charger. And of course can’t call customer support until Monday. There goes my ability to track my steps and earn my fitness points from my insurance provider’s incentive program 😡

Mine is doing the same thing and i got it today....I went through all the steps...this is highly disappointing i am seriously considering returning it and getting my money back.
