Inspire HR won't turn on

I put my Fitbit Inspire HR on the charger as I had previously done, but the display has stayed black, and it is randomly vibrating. Sometimes, a happy face will appear, then fades away and the screen stays black.

So I hopefully have good news for you because I fixed mine.

I believe it was caused by something (maybe a software update?) booting me out of my app and messing up the Bluetooth.

1. Go to app

2. Log in

3. Enable Bluetooth connectivity through Fitbit app (should be at the top of the screen like a warning)

4. Should be connected now and turning on.

If you're not logged out, then perhaps try logging out and logging back in.

Hopefully this was your fix too! So strange, but I guess this must be it's anti-theft technology in action?

🙂

I would contact Fitbit and see if they can either repair or replace it.
Best of luck.

How did you go about getting the replacement?

No I didn't have any luck with rebooting it unless it is attached to the
charger.

My screen wentwent black 2 days ago. It was still synching with the app and the battery was not low. But today it just randomly started working again. And I didn't do a restart because I just started researching the issue today.

Weird....

My son's Fitbit won't start at all. Connect it to the charger and it doesn't even vibrate. Tried holding the button down for five seconds while connected and nothing - just a black screen. Is is bricked?
Not sure we still have the receipt, is he scuppered?

@EhBoy - use these instructions to restart your Fitbit - https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/

If that doesn't work for some reason, reach out to Fitbit Support!

@Fitbit  - FYI, my replacement Fitbit Inspire HR also had the screen issue (where the screen doesn't activate, even on a full charge). I didn't find out until I was running errands and tried to check the time. Comically, hours later, I felt the triple vibrate which meant I had beat my record or was doing great or something?

Going to sell my Fitbit and spring for another fitness tracker. It's crazy I can't even dependably use this to tell time. 😭

Thanks @SunsetRunner

I did try those instructions to no avail.

Been in contact with Fitbit now and they assume a battery failure. A replacement is on its way.

My Fitbit Inspire HR will not turn back on.  I have tried the restart several times and it will not restart.  It will not turn on and it is only 6 months old.

My Inspire HR won't turn on at all. I have to say that is has been the most disappointing tracker I've ever had. Going to look for another brand at this point.

Thank you for this advice. My Inspire HR screen would not turn on, The watch was on but the screen was not working and I could not get a sync to work.

I tried your advice and bingo, screen is working again.

Thanks,

Jim

Hello All, Yes I have not even tried using my THIRD I (replacement) Inspire Tracker. The first two gave out very quickly (despite great care) and it's just worth the hassle and time. Had two other Fitbits right from the beginning of Fitbit and loved the first one -- so dependable and fun and simple and relatively durable. Lasted a very reasonable amount of time and I was totally happy with it and fair enough when it finally died. Frankly, they all went downhill from there. Such a bummer. And they don't really stand by the Inspire and I wonder if its day is done after a Fitbitty fun few years. Too bad as it could have been a fun new Fitbit era but it just doesn't seem like there is interest in fixing glitches.

The BASIC support for this tracker (as relates to Samsung devices) is
downright WRONG. Instructions for improving synching point files and
aspects of the apps that just don't exist on my device and i have just
given up.
The Inspire was a gift after my Flex died.
Ive come to appreciate a tracker device for steps and sleep monitoring but
would not replace the function with this device again. It has been
frustrating.
I will seek another product.

This continues to happen on a $100 item and now nothing is fixing this. Have tried everything suggested. Want money back or real fix ASAP. No excuse for this. I've sworn not to buy another Fitbit due to these problems but gave in just four months ago and constantly have same problem. Defect.
