I just got an Inspire HR and I can not get it to pair with my Galaxy S9 bluetooth. I have tried several things and it still won't pair. Any suggestions? thanks

I just purchased the Inspire HR and am also experiencing the same problem. It will not connect via Bluetooth to my Macbook Pro without purchasing a dongle. That's just ridiculous if you ask me. I also have problems with it pairing to my Samsung Note 9 smartphone. It takes several tries for this to pair to my phone. I also own a Fitbit Ionic which works sooooo much better than the Inspire HR but I purchased the smaller Inspire to wear as an everyday watch and now I wish I didn't, especially for the $100 price tag!

I can't even get mine to show up on the iPhone 6 Bluetooth, so I can't tell it to forget this device.
This is ridiculous, spent 2 hours trying to research a solution online, should be a simple process

I am having the same problem with my iPhone 7. Tried everything mentioned here and the device will not show up in Bluetooth so can’t forget device. So frustrated. Just bought this and thought I was upgrading. My Fitbit Flex May have looked like a child’s toy but at least it did the job and never had a problem.

I just got this a month ago. It worked fine up until now, and now neither of my phones will recognize it (LG6 and Samsung S8). I tried disconnecting and rebooting both the fitbit and phone. My phones don't see it at all. Looks like I will have to return w/ a review too. Clearly this thing has problems.

I have been trying to get my inspire hr to work with my windows 10 laptop for the last three days I have finally got it going and it works ok all day. Then the next day I am back to square 1. It usually takes me two to three hours to actually get it working by following all instructions such as rebooting pc turning Bluetooth on and off resetting everything else I can and still no good. Even when I get it going I go to bed and it does not record my sleep which I obviously find out next morning. I have been using Alta for a few years and I got this inspire as a present and therefore very reluctant to bin it but soon the frustration will be getting the better of me. After living with the trouble free Alta for a few years this inspire certainly does not do anything for me so I am going to give it away to somebody I don't like very much. If he gets it working I might have a better friend, if he has the trouble I have had and he has been annoyed but will be too scared to say anything so be it.
Long live Alta

For me the trick was having my phone FORGET it was connected on bluetooth to the Inspire HR and then reconnecting it. I had to reinstall everything after a month of using my fitbit Inspire HR when it just abruptly quit syncing.

These 3 steps worked - nothing else did! If I did not like everything else about my Inspire HR it would have been returned long ago!! Thank you

What 3 steps...there was nothing in your post except the statement that these three steps work?? But nothing beyond that. My very tech savvy daughter gave up on trying for several hours and after I'm 5 hours into trying and on my second Inspire after returning the first thinking it was defective...neither would work. Have to think it's poorly coded software. Loved the size but doesnt work x 2. What a bunch of crap to put customers out like this.

Hi there,
the 3 steps were from philipsung pg. I assumed as I attached my reply to his message, that would show up when posted - obviously not! Anyway, the 3 steps are:
I did 3 steps:
1. Restart my tracker but connecting it to the charging cable, press and hold the button for 10secs.
2. Go to phone bluetooth setting and select “forget this device”.
3. Re-pair your tracker with your phone.

Just exchanged my Inspire HR for the THIRD time - iPhone won't even find this one !!! Therefore no opportunity to ' Forget' etc etc . Will not start when tapped . When plugged into charger the Diamond logo shows and then ...... nothing !!!
This is now the third Inspire HR in 2 months - I have been a FitBit User since the ' One ' and was very happy, but this Inspire should be taken off the market pronto !

I'm aware you have resolved this issue for yourself but just thought I'd add what happened to mine in case it can help someone else.
I got the Inspire HR today. Previously had Alta HR. Set up wasn't as easy as the Alta. It repeatedly wouldn't pair with my phones Bluetooth. Then it seemed to partly pair (appeared in the fit bit app as synced but still unpaired with the phone somehow) after leaving it for a while, but the fitbit still wouldn't activate properly (showed the start up screen).
In the end restarting my phone seemed to be the way to go, then it had to update the software on the fit bit before anything else could happen.
Hope this helps other users.
