I just got an Inspire HR and I can not get it to pair with my Galaxy S9 bluetooth. I have tried several things and it still won't pair. Any suggestions? thanks

It won't show my sleep on the tracker, and it shows the time 3 minutes behind.

Very important, in the FitBit App select either Inspire or Inspire HR. If you don’t select the one to match the device you have, the app will not see and pair with your device.

You must select Inspire, not inspire HR in the Fitbit app, if you select the HR but have just the Inspire, the app will not recognize your device.

Here's what I do and it works for pairing and syncing. I figured it out after I accidentally upaired, and couldn't get it to work.
1) Go to settings, then apps, then find the app and force stop it. Works on any phone that supports the device.
2) Turn off wifi and reconnect (make sure you have a solid connection).
3) Turn off bluetooth off then back on.
4) Reset your fitbit. This must be done while it's on the charger and at least about 70% charged. Reset by holding down button (while on charger) for about 10 seconds until you see a smiley face. Sometimes legal info will pop up, too. Leave band on charger when done.
4) Go to bluetooth and try to pair. Stand as close to your band as possible. If this doesn't work go to next step.
5) Open Fitbit app, and click on the icon on the top left corner. Under "devices" click on your device then click "pair."
6) Go to your bluetooth and verify it's paired.
7) If none of this works restart your phone and start process from step 2. Sometimes is can take a few tries, but it works.

Thank you for the suggestion. This worked the first time. Apparently the order and place of connecting to the Bluetooth is very specific.

I also 'forgot device' on my phone and now it cant 'see' my device at all.
So frustrating

It's ridiculous I agree...

The steps the mean is to 'forget your device' on your phone side.
I did that and now my device can't see my phone at all.
Even when it did it was off and on daily. I was so happy with my Fitbit Charge 2. Got this as a better size option for my tiny wrist... Really need to rely on the phone for GPS now though so not connecting is not an option...
Will be returning - SADLY

I just figured it out - i was not getting anywhere either, looking at the iphone bluetooth menu - BUT when I (out of sheer boredom) opened up the fitbit app (instead of looking at the bluetooth menu in utilities), the syncing started, and the pairing request popped up.

Does not appear on the Bluetooth iPhone 11 screen. How did someone get this right?

I just keep finding that first go into fitbit app, press your profile pic in the left corner, click on Inspire HR, hit notifications (sometimes it prompts there) if not, opening utilities and go into Bluetooth to see what’s paired, turn Bluetooth off and on, and then switch back to the Fitbit app and see if it prompts to pair then

For what it’s worth... it definitely is not at intuitive as it “should” be, but I imagine only because it has to get permissions to share info on both sides - but once it’s hooked up, it’s great.
you may also need to re-pair with Bluetooth if your phone dips into low battery mode, because that mode is set to abandon Bluetooth pairing to conserve battery
