Inspire HR workout calories

Not sure if I want my Inspire HR to do something impossible but here goes - the calories burnt that it shows for specific workouts only change if I adjust the time spent doing them. Does the fact it measured my heart rate not affect the calories? I did a workout last week and the same one today (both same amount of time) but my heart rate was very different and a lot more in the peak zone today. However, as it only puts in calories based on the time spent, I cannot see any calorific change and logged the same amount of calories for both.

am I just expecting something beyond my fitbit's capabilities or is this something that can be done?

thanks in advance

From clock face, scroll up to Exercise and tap, then scroll down to your choice and tap that; then tap again to begin or scroll down to set goal in time, distance, calories.  And then look at screen again to end the exercise.  That always gets the time right, uses actual data recorded, categorizes it as you choose, and you don't have to go back again to log it.

The link I gave above describes how to change the 6 exercise options shown.

It sounds like you are manually logging your workouts after they happen.  If that is true, whatever data is actually recorded during workout, such as heart rate, is overridden by the parameters you enter for the workout such as intensity or speed.

Manual logging of a workout is really just intended for when you were not wearing the Fitbit during the exercise session.

If you will use the Exercise App to record your workouts, then it will just rely on the data the Fitbit actually recorded.

thank you - that is true I have been manually adding them in because my Fitbit registers the workout minutes (I always wear it) but it does not reflect put the workouts onto the app so I thought adding them in was the only solution. I will look into that as it must be a separate problem!
