My FitBit was working just fine (I couldn’t tap to scroll but other than that, no problems) but then the other day it wouldn’t turn on. Figured it died so I plugged it in. Still nothing. Couldn’t reset it either by pressing the button on the side for 5 seconds. The next day, I was finally able to get the “happy face” and the time when it was plugged it and my phone found it and shows it it’s fully charged. But if I unplug it, it won’t turn on. I’ve tried resetting multiple times and making sure the charger port was clean.

I am having this exact same issue after swimming with my inspire HR on yesterday. It will only turn on when plugged into the charger and I can’t reset it. I really hope I’ve not broken it as I didn’t realise it wasn’t fully waterproof! 😫

My Fitbit inspire is doing the same thing. The touch screen stopped scrolling a few days ago and now it won't turn on unless it's on the charger. When it's plugged in it shows the smiley face then boots up to show the time and 100% charged. As soon as it is unplugged it turns off. Very disappointing.
