Inspire HR works randomly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This is the third Fitbit I have owned, it’s an Inspire HR. They should be a great item, simple to use and maintain. But it’s not the case. Everything is just so random. It works then it doesn’t, then it kinda does and then some of its features do but others don’t. It updates and then it won’t, it swipes then it doesn’t.
Support is iffy depending on who you get. I have gotten more concise answers from other users. That’s a sad state of efficiency from a global company.
Ahhh...feeling better now. Thanks for letting me rant and everyone stay healthy and well.

Hey SciWizard thanks for a great effort!
My unit is not covered, it’s from 11/11/2019. So just out of luck.

Sometimes things just are broken for an array of reasons. It doesn’t have to make sense.
To everyone in the Fitbit community stay healthy. We are in this together. Together we can come through better and stronger. As we say in the Army “ What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger “

I've had this Inspire HR for 2 days, mostly spent on help forums, watching it sync once and never again, ignore my swipes and taps, see the clock spontaneously jump ahead 7 hours.

I'm done with this one, it's like being in a bad beta test.

I certainly hear you. I'd let them replace it. Only problem, once you're out of your return window you're stuck. Good luck.

I don't want a replacement. It seems like mine is working about as well as everyone else's on these 173 pages of "it won't, it can't, it stopped". I just need to see my heart rate during cardio, I don't need recording or tracking. Anyone know of a dead simple solid reliable chest strap transmitter?

Hi everyone. It's good to see you here again.

@Grannyjoy, thanks for joining this thread and sharing the issues experienced with your Inspire HR. I went to check your details with our Support team and it seems they have your case under their wings. They'll continue helping so please keep an open communication with them.

@m225 and @SciWizard, thanks for sharing your thoughts about the Inspire HR. I'm sorry that you've had this situation with your trackers. @SunsetRunner, I appreciate your efforts while working on your Inspire HR. I understand your point of view about being able to track and see your heart rate readings correctly and to help you with this, please provide me with further details about your tracker's behavior and the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.

Lizzy,

Thanks for the offer, but this is just the wrong device for me. Is there a way I can reset the device and remove my FItbit account so I can give it to someone else than can register it as their device?

Hi @SunsetRunner. I'm glad to see you again.

I'm sorry that your Inspire HR didn't work for you and thanks for sharing your feedback. Your comments won't be taken for granted. In order to clear the data stored on tracker, please swipe to the left and open the Settings app > Clear User Data. When prompted, press the screen for 3 seconds and release. Your Inspire HR will vibrate and the clock screen will appear, meaning that your data is erased.

About your other question, you can delete your Fitbit Inspire HR from your account by doing the following:

  1. Open the Fitbit app on your phone.
  2. Tap on your profile picture at the upper left corner.
  3. Tap on your Inspire HR image and remove it:
For iOS devices, scroll to the bottom and tap the option to remove the device.
For Android devices, tap the trash icon at the upper right corner.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Fed up with Fitbit. This was my second go around. Auto tracking workouts used to work?...now it doesn’t?  Trouble shooting hasn’t fixed it? I ordered an Apple Watch. Goodbye Fitbit
