Inspire Hr will not receive notifications & will not restart

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My inspire Hr has just suddenly stopped receiving notifications from my phone. I'm trying to troubleshoot and have been through updates, restarting my phone and I've come to restart the fitbit and it will not do it!

I have had it plugged in on charge and held down the side button for 5 seconds (if not longer) and nothing happens!

I'm not impressed with this piece of kit at all! There always seems to be an issue.

Can you please explain what I need to do to rectify these issues?

Hi, @JodiPodi , we will need to know what sort of phone you use in order to advise on the notifications issue.

On the restart you do sometimes need to hold the button for significantly longer than 5 secs.  Also, do make sure that it is really receiving charge (plug is working and charging points properly lined up) or the restart will not work.

Thanks for a quick response.

My phone is a huawei mate 20 pro. Can you please suggest a troubleshooting
method?

I will continue to try to restart the fitbit. However, I have tried as you
have instructed multiple times.

Hi, @JodiPodi , there are special instructions for that phone:

  1. On your phone, open the Settings app > Apps and notifications > Apps.
  2. Tap Fitbit > Battery.
  3. Turn off the Power-intensive prompt option.
  4. Tap Launch.
  5. Turn off the Manage automatically option, and turn on the Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background options.
  6. Tap OK.

Once you have done that, on your Fitbit app and click on the Inspire HR Icon.  On the notifications screen in the app you will see 3 dots top right.  Click on the three dots and choose “send a test call notification”.  You might need to try this a couple of times, but once you get the vibration you will know it is all working.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your help, however this still doesn't work.

Before following any of these instructions, I sent a test call from my
phone to the fitbit and it worked. Also, I received all my notifications
before having to follow your latest instructions, why would it suddenly
stop working?

I have since completed your instructions and restarted my phone, and
fitbit, and it still doesn't work...

Can you suggest anything else, please?
