Fitbit Update 09/3/2020: Thank you all for your participation in this thread. Since the majority of Inspire Series users have reported successfully updating their firmware, I am closing this thread. If you still have not updated your firmware check out this post for some best practices on how to update your device.
If you are experiencing an issue with your Fitbit unrelated to the firmware-up process, I invite you to start a new topic on the community or find a related topic. Thanks again for all the great feedback.

Update 8/20/20: The Inspire firmware release of 1.88.11 should now be available to all customers today. If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in this article, and then provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist. Please keep this thread on-topic by only providing feedback after updating your Firmware to 1.88.11.
We've begun releasing new firmware (1.88.11) for Inspire/Inspire HR to customers. This is a progressive rollout which means everyone will receive it at different stages until it has been completely released to all users. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

How do I know if my fitbit has the latest Firmware release? Looking at my app, it looks like my current firmware is 34.20001.63.5 ... The reason I am asking is because after 1.5 to 2 years of great performance, my fitbit Inspire HR does not seem to be responding to any screen taps or swipes. Please help!

Already not a fan of whatever this update entailed. Insanity workout when I can barely breathe... HR 119. Walking at a fast pace... HR 53. Sitting still... anywhere from 65 to 90. At least the app now tracks steps and HR again in real time, which the version before stopped unless I shut the app down and restarted my phone at times.

My Inspire HR also stopped responding to anything 7/31, midday. I then got a low battery alert, but it's not responding to bring plugged in. I've seen the smile icon twice, though it's still unresponsive to holding the button down for 5 seconds while plugged in. Tonight, one of the green sensors on the back lit briefly when in plugged it in. The app updater can't find the tracker to update the firmware.

After the new firmware update the quality of the whole sistem decreased even more. The tracker has trouble tracking the distance and measures significant difference with the phone (GPS setting high accuracy). Additionally, it is now impossible to sync the tracker setting in the app (e.g. shortcuts for exercise) to the tracker. There is only sync of the data from the tracker to the app. The battery indication is reported all wrong in the app. This update is very far from an improvement.

Greetings,
Thanks for this information. How long will this rollout take. I still appear to be running a prior version, and the device, among other things, is not tracking my exercise.

I got the 1.88.11 update on my Inspire HR on Monday night. It took well over an hour to download and install! I now have two issues. First- the update notes says there are new clock faces, but I do not have any new clock faces available in the app. Second, a screen has been added below the clock that shows battery level, time, and date. This seems a bit redundant. Is there any way to choose and/or reorganize what order items are displayed as we swipe up and down?
Thank you,
Tom

This firmware update seems to have fixed all my syncing issues. Since I bought it in June, I could only rarely get it to sync to my laptop and would have to borrow my husband's device to look at my stats. Now it syncs automatically with my laptop, no problem. The one thing I wish is that support would have told me they were working on a fix instead of giving me the same troubleshooting steps over and over again, as if they thought I was doing something wrong. But I'm glad it's working now.

I updated my Inspire HR day before yesterday and have experienced significant issues: I wear the device all day, and it vibrates every time I move or just move my arm. This seems to be depleting the battery such that it lasts just a few hours before I need to recharge it. And it seems to be having trouble syncing with my iphone. None of this happened until I updated the firmware. I've rebooted several times with zero improvement. Please send advice about how to fix these issues or how to reverse the update.

I'm having the same issues. Also, when I press the side button, it shows the time so quickly, I cannot read it...after that it goes to the battery screen and that's the only screen I can get to and read. Frustrating, to say the least. Hope we both can get some guidance.

Where do I find my current Firmware version for Fitbit Inspire?

yes same here. I updated and it immediately turned off. No response to swipes or taps or plugging it in and pushing the button. I saw a smiley face once. It also vibrated nonstop until I plugged it in. Now no response no green lights. Nothing. Dead. Very upset as its only months old. Please help!

I've also been having issues since the update, the battery is draining within minutes. I left it to charge all night, and within 30 minutes it was dead again. Is there a way to roll back the update?

I just updated to version 1.88.11 last night (8/10/20) and so far I'm not seeing how this was an improvement. I don't use the notifications feature on my device so having that tile as the first one when I swipe up (used to be exercise) is annoying and useless for those of us who utilize that feature. Also, after the update the device no longer displays sleep duration or water intake. There used to be tiles for these when you swiped down on the device screen. They are gone now. Instead there is now a screen showing date, time and battery level immediately after swiping down from the main screen. This is useless and redundant. I can already get my current battery status by long pressing the side button (it's unobtrusive and easy to use. No need for an entire screen to give me this information). As for the date and time, these are already displayed on the main device screen. Is there a way to choose which stats you want to see on your device and/or reorder the items that show on the display (i.e. I'd like exercises to be the first item that shows when I swipe up instead of notifications as I use the exercises module WAY more than the notifications).

I seem to be having the same issues as everyone else now. Can't swipe and it won't show the battery level. firmware version 34.20001.63.18

Between the firmware update and the software update, the device won't sync with the app properly (i.e. only partial information) and the app won't sync with the website. So, it's basically impossible for me to get the information I like from my Fitbit, except steps - which my phone could be counting for me just as well.
