Fitbit Update 09/3/2020: Thank you all for your participation in this thread. Update 8/20/20: The Inspire firmware release of 1.88.11 should now be available to all customers today. If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in this article, and then provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist. Please keep this thread on-topic by only providing feedback after updating your Firmware to 1.88.11.

We've begun releasing new firmware (1.88.11) for Inspire/Inspire HR to customers. This is a progressive rollout which means everyone will receive it at different stages until it has been completely released to all users. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.

*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

I am having the same issues with my Fitbit HR after the update. I also want to get rid of this last update. It almost makes the Fitbit unusable because it won't hold a charge anymore.  I took off charger at 7am 100% but five mins later it was at 90%. I just walk from one room to the other. It's crazy. I can't get a true accuracy of steps due to this.  I had to put my Fitbit back on the charger 4 times today. It makes no sense. Before this update I had no problems with my battery life. Would be able to go almost 5 days before I had to charge it.  Please tell me how to either roll back this update or fix this battery issue.  I am doing same thing I did before this latest update.

I won’t do the firmware, I’ve heard a lot of people are having problems so no, I’m not doing it.

Updated the firmware last night and now the fitbit inspire HR is not responding to the touch screen at all.  I have reset multiple times.   I can push the side button to see the clock and push again to turn off but nothing else.   I noticed last night that the screen was coming on and off all through the night so took it off in the end.   Would appear my fitbit is now useless and not even had it a year.   What do we do now?

I could be a lucky one - haven't even had the update pushed to my Inspire HR (like the last 2 updates that never arrived) despite the tracker & app ticking all the update boxes.

When will the date be corrected on UK versions from mm/dd (North American incorrect date format) to dd/mm (UK correct date format? This drives me crazy every day!

I uploaded the Firmware, but the device started to not work. I can’t scroll up and down the screen and it’s completely useless. I need help to solve this problem as soon as possible. I’m waiting for replies

A couple of weeks ago I joined this forum because my Inspire (not HR) started losing its charge after a day or two.  I never did know what caused this but it seems to have fixed itself and I am happy with that. I have seen tons of post from people who are totally upset with the latest update because of the problems they started having when they did the update.  Most of these seem to be concerning the Inspire HR. So when I got notified that my update was available I was hesitant to go for it.  But then I started thinking that it’s really just a small percentage of owners who are on this forum complaining.  If I do it and my fitbit craps out I’ll just push for  a new one. Mine is only 8 months old.  So I did it.  Everything appears to be working as it should. I like the second clock face that has the battery minder on it.  So I am saying it does work.  I can’t be the only one that hasn’t had any problems.  I feel regret for those who have had problems, I hope you get them solved.

I am unable to sync my sleeping heart rate from my Fitbit to my iPhone app. It stopped doing this a couple weeks before the update and still isn’t syncing sleeping heart rate after the update. I’ve restarted the Fitbit and phone. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and no improvement.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

I noticed this issue as well.  I, also, would like to remove the second screen which I don't need, just another item to scroll thru to get to my other information.  Hope they address this as how to remove it.

I decided to remove the Inspire from my account & readd it. It now sync with the Android App & my account.

After completing the new firmware update that took over 2 hours to complete, it still will not sync on my phone I had to run the update with my tablet. I've tried all the troubleshooting options and it still won't sync, Soo frustrating. I've only had this tracker since May and have had more issues with it than my Alta ever had.

How do you see sleep on your Fitbit? I thought you had to look at the app on the phone? I haven't done the upgrade yet

Best Answer

The first screen on the swipe after the update is useless.  It gives the time and date, which is on my watch face, and the battery level. I can get that with a push of the side button. Now the sleep icon is gone. Totally USELESS upgrade. Put the sleep icon back please. It didn't work al the time, but it was helpful.

Best Answer

Greypony, it was the last icon swiping down, at least on my fitbit.
