Fitbit Update 7/16/19: This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in this article, and then provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist.
Hi all! We've begun releasing Inspire & Inspire HR Firmware update (1.63.5) to customers!
This is a progressive rollout which means everyone will receive it at different stages until it has been completely released to all users. You can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.
WHAT’S NEW AND FIXED
We have 5 new clock faces you can try. Find them in the Fitbit Clock gallery. To change your clock face, see How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
This release includes bug fixes and improvements.
HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your tracker can be found here. Please be sure to have your Inspire or Inspire HR attached to your charger while updating.
If you run into any trouble updating your tracker, please try these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

And...done. Took just under an hour and appears not to have broken anything.
Quick note: I got the new version of the app on my android phone yesterday or the day before, and the firmware update was ready for me this morning. Also made sure my Inspire HR was fully charged, and left it connected to the charger for the duration of the update. Finally, although it says you can close the app or use the phone for something else without disrupting the update process, I didn't do that. So best advice is don't do this on your way to a meeting or something where you have to be on time and be able to use your phone.

Fitbit Update 7/10/19: We are continuing to roll out this firmware for the Inspire & Inspire HR, and expect more users will see it as available. At 7 AM I had 99 steps and had burned 303 calories Fitbit Inspire HR. It is now 4:20 PM. I have 21506 steps, 151 active minutes 131 exercise minutes and have burned 288 calories. Last evening, I had over 2000 calories used and now 421. What has happened? Every time I sync I lose calories. I had 360 at one point today. How can I tell the version of firmware I am running? What is the issue? How do I get back the proper number of calories burned for both yesterday and today. Monday is consistent with other days.

I am seriously disappointed with these new clock faces. Absolute waste. Had to create an account just to complain about it. Completely pathetic.

Hi there,
I keep getting “this
clock cannot be installed on your device” every time I
try the new clock faces. My inspire HR is brand new today and updated

I was hoping they will add a new clock face with seconds or at least something more practical 😞

Looks like we got a sheep and --- I don't know --- what is that? A cat?

Thanks for the update, seeing more stats in the device is very cool, but could you please add some clock faces that will be ACTUALLY useful? Having cute animal faces next to the time makes no sense. I would like to see a clock face where the hours and the minutes take up the whole screen so they are bug and visible, with a number style that is standard and pleasant to the eye, none of those weird number styles that are more unreadable than anything else. Please, just a normal clock face with normal number fonts and taking up the whole screen.....!!!

Hello community!
just to add a positive feedback for a change 😉 I updated my Inspire HR yesterday, it took about 20-30 minutes and worked from the first time.
It also looks like the battery management got better, I lost 2% of charge over the night 😊

Why is it not longer possible to wake up the clock with a double tap on the screen? That was really useful.

Is there a way to request feature suggestions? I noticed the new clock faces but too many are cartoony and I'm a grownup. I would love to see a clock face that is fairly standard that shows both the time and date. I tried the analog one but I use the time for medical purposes and an instant digital time is better. The ones that do that now have a time that looks like a date because the numbers are stacked on top of each other and there is no colon. Therefore,
10
09
looks like October 9. The Stats Heavy face has a great time display (10:09) but it doesn't show the date. If Stats Heavy could be customized more, it would be perfect. For instance, I don't need to see how many calories I burn at all times. If I could show time (in a traditional way with a colon), date and steps, that would be perfect! Although, I might use the kitty face if it showed the date 🙂

Fitbit stopped syncing and now can not log back in...This must have something to do with the update just released since many here are complaining about the same problem...

yesterday I received the update. It took about an hour for the update to finish. After the update everything seemed to work and sync. Today my phone app doesn't seemed to recognize my Inspire HR any more. I've tried rebooting phone and fitbit app several times but won't sync. My actual fitbit is recording my activity and displaying correctly but it is not syncing with phone app.

I am replying to my own post. I shut down all my devices (phone, fitbit) one more time and let it sit off for a minute. I then rebooted phone (Nexus6p) then I started the fitbit app again. It finally sync with my Inspire HR and transferred the data from the Inspire HR to the phone app. I don't know why the problem started but it is now working.

What a surprise. Update gets about 20 minutes in and fails. Fitbit is on charger, phone basically laying on Fitbit (charging). Just like the last update. Extremely frustrating! Guess I'll try again and again. Love the product but..... Not my first Fitbit and yes read the guides. Come on. While I'm on my soapbox or venting session, why not have ONE universal charging cable. Every new release, a new way to charge your device. Frustrated Fitbit Inspire owner.

I did the update last night and now I no longer receive phone calls or text information on my Fitbit Inspire HR. How can I fix this?
Thanks

I haven't received any firmware update yet? I guess I shouldn't be that eager given some the initial feedback and issues reported...
My sync issue was fixed earlier so I'm thankful for that!

Yes, it would be nice to have the bugs worked out before installing,
