Fitbit Update 7/16/19: This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in this article, and then provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist.
Hi all! We've begun releasing Inspire & Inspire HR Firmware update (1.63.5) to customers!
This is a progressive rollout which means everyone will receive it at different stages until it has been completely released to all users. You can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.
WHAT’S NEW AND FIXED
We have 5 new clock faces you can try. Find them in the Fitbit Clock gallery. To change your clock face, see How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
This release includes bug fixes and improvements.
HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your tracker can be found here. Please be sure to have your Inspire or Inspire HR attached to your charger while updating.
If you run into any trouble updating your tracker, please try these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

I don't know if you found a solution yet or not, but I had a similar issue when I first got my Fitbit Inspire HR - I went through unbelievable effort to get my new device to setup with no luck (including, but not limited to shipping one device back to Fitbit and Fitbit shipping me a replacement (more than once). My daughter, who ordered her new Fitbit Inspire HR at the same time as I did had no issues. She came to my house to troubleshoot with me and only by removing her own device from her app and adding my device in it's place was she able to get the update run and the setup complete. No luck trying my IOS app or my Windows 10 app, but she was able to get it done with her Android app. She then removed my device from her app and added it back to my IOS app and it runs, but is questionable . . . in that, while I see the steps displayed and I get the sleep tracking data, EVERY TIME I SYNC it gives me a red notice that the sync failed - but it didn't actually fail - it syncs, it just says it doesn't. Fast-forward to current - I am still running with firmware 34.20001.63.5. I had a notification that there was a firmware update available, but when I try running it it says failed. After a few attempts the notification bar is gone and I find no way to try another attempt at running the update. If I could find that option my daughter would come over with her Android device and update it for me, but alas, no more update option present. All that to say, if you know anyone who has been able to successfully update and setup their own, maybe they would link your Fitbit to their app and run the update for you.

This 1.63.5 update still does not fix the issue of my Inspire HR not syncing or staying paired with my iphone.

Had been having issues with my inspire hr. FINALLY got it fixed to work properly and its been good for almost 2 weeks. reluctantly, i installed the new update. i didn't want to but i did. well my tracker no longer displays active steps again. it also doesnt display my heartrate or resting heartrate. sometimes i get 1 or the other but not both.
it is nice to see the new unnecessary features instead of getting the bugs out of what you already have. i reinstalled the app on my phone rebooted my tracker to no avail. you know this is really getting to be too much work for something you should just put on and go with

iOS APP keeps telling me that the update 1.63.5 is available for my Inspire HR... I keep trying the update for 3 days now and it keeps failing... however, the device itself says it's on firmware version 1.63.5...!
Anyone else having same/similar problems?
The way this goes doesn't inspire much confidence in me... Can be better if you ask me.
