Inspire broken at point band attaches; band won't attach. In another forum I saw that others had the same problem. It's not the band, it's that the band won't stay attached because a tiny piece of plastic broke off the Inspire.

Hi @fallboy52, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. Since you mentioned that the band of your Fitbit Inspire broke where it attaches, let me go ahead and forward your case to our Support team so they can investigate further and provide a solution. You will receive an email from them soon.
I'll be around if any question arises.

@JuanJoFitbit - the same thing that happened to @fallboy52 happened to me. My Inspire that I purchased in
2/2020 broke on the top right where the band’s metal connector would slide in. I haven’t been able to wear it for over a week and have to rely on my iPhone app when I’m walking. No way to track my daily steps. Can you help?

I have the same issue. The plastic area where the band attaches broke and the inspire fell off my wrist - but there was no obvious incident that caused it. I almost didn’t notice it, and luckily it dropped into my work bag.
I have had it since November 2019. Is there anything that can be done? Or do I just need to buy another one? It is unfortunate because the device itself and the band are completely fine - it is just the attachment area that has broken.

I had mine under a year old so it was covered by the warranty. Give them a call and inquire. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Hello JuanJo
exact same issue with my Fitbit inspire. What can be done? Do you have some sort of plastic weld you would recommend? Is there a piece I can purchase to replace the bad part? Thank you. Mike

It isn't a great look, but you can buy the children's bands where the fitbit pops in and the band attachments aren't needed. Sigh.

Yeah...Here is a link to what I was referring to. They are obviously less than ideal for an adult, but the fitbit fits into the band, so I have been able to continue using my Fitbit without a normal band. I have only used the black, gray and navy. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087CTCH5L?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

Nice engineering job to solve this problem. If someone invested time to design a fix for this problem means that this is not an isolated incident, Fitbit needs to work on their quality control as their quality is going downhill since I started using it more than ten years ago.

No, as fallboy52 clearly said, "It's not the band." It's the part of the watch itself that the band attaches to that broke.
Why are the moderators here so bad at replies? (And who is voting up these crappy replies?)
Leave out the "glad to see you" schmooze, read more carefully, and answer the question or address the issue presented!
Fitbit started out great, but has really gone downhill over the years. Getting very greedy. Selling overpriced, cheaply made plastic crap that breaks in a short period of time. CS reps aren't even trained to apologize for the hassle this causes customers, and make it difficult to use the warranty.
