Inspire broken where band attaches.

Inspire broken at point band attaches; band won't attach.  In another forum I saw that others had the same problem.  It's not the band, it's that the band won't stay attached because a tiny piece of plastic broke off the Inspire.

I have the exact same problem. The plastic broke where the pins for the band go in and I can’t wear it.

This happened to my Fitbit Inspire 2. I read the previous posts and saw the one about the band that actually houses the Fitbit unit. You just snap it in the band, no need to mess with pins. I ordered a pair of wrist bands off of Amazon and they work great! It comes with a black one and a clear band.

If you're happy with that, then good for you. Really.

However, that band/plastic encasement totally changes the look of the fitbit purchased and, imnsho, makes it look far worse.

Yeah it doesn't look great, but if you're outside of the warranty, the options are: weird looking band, landfill, or buy a new device. And I saw in your post above how you feel about continuing to support shoddy products 😆. Next time I'll probably find something sturdier, maybe from a different company, but for now I'll keep getting some use out of this.

Sure, I get that. Fitbit ought to be solving this problem by making better products. But since they're not, finding some way to still use the product makes perfect sense! 👍

I agree with you. I haven't tried to put it together yet. I have a friend
who loves those kinds of challenges. Hopefully he can come up with
something awesome that I share with everyone.

Have you had your Fitbit more than a year? If not, contact customer support
and they should replace it unless something has changed. If it is over a
year old, they should give you a percentage off. I received 35% on the
purchase of a new one. At Christmas time there was a sale on certain
Fitbits. I got the Luxe. It doesn't stay charged for very long. The Charge
4 and 5 are no longer available. I liked the larger screen.
Having to replace my Fitbit 3 times really says something about this
product. Do your research before buying and get a product thats worth your
hard earned money.

Yes, it's a shame because the Fitbit watch itself works fine, but I will
never buy another fitbit because of this.
I'm curious if it's just the Inspire (2) or all the Fitbit watches.

Yes, my Charge 4, once within a year, then again after I had the second one
just a couple of weeks after a year. So annoying.

Same thibg just happened to me. I had bought extra bands butvthey won't fit either because the device is damaged atvthe edge. I just crossed my one year warranty by a month or less. I will probably try something else. Though  i have been using fitbit for some years. Good to share the problem. Thanks

This is rather beyond a joke isn't it. Is there anyone on @Fitbit reading these? It is obviously a design fault. Has this been fixed yet,  and if not, why not

The link I sent you is for a band that doesn’t require it to fit on the broken ends of your device. Your device fits into the band. It works perfectly.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately i have lost confidence in the brand
with this incident as it broke for no reason and just after warranty. I
don't want to purchase a new brand of a different kind for a broken device.
Thanks again for helping.

No problem. But for me, a $10 investment to continue using the device was worth it. Good luck with your next brand.

Actually I might follow your advice after all! After I git over my initial
disappointment I was able to put the old band back and hold it in place
with sketch tape. The device seems to be working ok. So I will probably
try your band- which would be better than skotchvtape. I appreciate your
efforts to help us all. Thanks

You're very welcome! I hope you'll be able to get much more use out of your
Fitbit. I'm glad you decided to put it back together. I have a friend who
is a genius when it comes to making a way when you think there isn't one.
I'd really like to use my Charge 4 again.

I just dabbed a bit of gorilla glue. Holding ok.

You can order cases for them from Amazon.
