Inspire broken at point band attaches; band won't attach. In another forum I saw that others had the same problem. It's not the band, it's that the band won't stay attached because a tiny piece of plastic broke off the Inspire.

This problem with the band disconnecting from the Inspire 2 has happened to me twice. First time, it was under warranty and I received the black pebble no cost. Second time, just recently, I contacted their customer service and was told that they will send me an email for a 35% discount on a new Fitbit device. When I saw your message regarding the children's bands, I ordered one and it works. It just pops in. Hooray and thank you!!

My wife's Inspire HR broke just as described by the OP. I had no idea lots of folks had the same problem.
Using 99% alcohol I carefully cleaned out the indentation where the band sets against the tracker. Then used some Krazy Glue. I figured it might last a few weeks. It's been several months now and still holding.
The little bands that are supposed to hold the excess strap length also broke in half. I found a few small O-rings that work just about as well as the bands. Shop for thin O-rings that will bend into oval shapes. I imagine thick O-rings would be uncomfortable.

Thanks for sharing. Hope it helps others, though I'm not sure exactly where you put the glue is clear.
Also, Google/Fitbit ought to be ashamed that their customers have to resort to all of these workarounds just to get the product they paid for to be functional. I guess many people have loads of money, so buying a new tracker is not that big a deal, but for me, and many others I'm sure, it was a lot of money to buy each of the various Fitbit products I have purchased over the years.

Yeah, I didn't know how to describe glue placement without getting too wordy and losing people. With the band out of the way, you can see into the recess formed into the body of the tracker. As mentioned, I used 99% alcohol to thoroughly clean that recess. Make sure to get out all the human skin, dirt, etc.
I forgot to mention the first time - I thoroughly scrubbed the band with alcohol too. I removed the pin and cleaned some more. Put the pin back in before gluing, although I think the repair woulda worked just as well with the pin left out.
Then I laid a bead of Krazy Glue across the bottom of the recess and quickly shoved the band back into place. Guessed at the right angle. When it's seated into the recess the band kinda takes the correct angle on its own.

I complained to Fitbit about mine that had broken, at first they gave me the offer of 35% off which I declined. I bought a strap to put it in from Amazon but still wasn't happy with the comfort of it so once again I contacted Fitbit. They agreed in the end to replace it even though it was out of warranty. so I was sent a new one. When it arrived the new one wasn't working correctly so once again I rang them. They sent me a prepaid postage label to return it via DHL, the label didn't scan when I took it to be posted so they sent another label, same thing happened, in the end I had to contact them several times and each time they sent me another return postage label, four labels down and still unable to return it because none of the labels scanned I contacted them one last time. They then sent me an email for an offer of either a free new Inspire 2 or 50% off another Fitbit model. I opted to buy a Versa 2 at half price as I was so tired of the inspire 2 at this time. I am very happy with the Versa 2, it has a much better screen to see my stats.

My wife has gone through two where the connector on the case broke. The strap and wire is fine. Has been 7 months, so covered under warranty…. No wait, she baight it on Amazon and Fitbit didn’t honor the warranty as not purchased by an Authorized realtor. So, buyers beware. Only authorized sellers get repairs AND the Inspire 2 breaks and not fixable. Fitbit lost two customers.
