Inspire broken where band attaches.

Inspire broken at point band attaches; band won't attach.  In another forum I saw that others had the same problem.  It's not the band, it's that the band won't stay attached because a tiny piece of plastic broke off the Inspire.

You may be able to get a replacement if your Inspire is under warranty
meaning 1 year. Otherwise, contact Fitbit support and they may give you a
coupon for 35% off. Also, there is a band on Amazon that was posted in this
blog that seems like it would work quite well. I did purchase one for my
Charge 4. It holds the fitbit nice and secure. I have to switch over in the
app to use it. I believe the band got some really good reviews.

I just tried to super glue it. I hope it works. I thought it was a terrible design when I first got it.

Mine broke like yours. With nothing too lose, husband used a 1/16 drill bit and drilled a hole angled slightly inward through the indented place for band spring. He removed the band spring, ran a piece of heavy fishing line through it the ran line through the holes. Using two pair of tweezers he pulled the line tied it and heated the ends to form a knot that doesn't slip. I used it for a month, before buying a new one. It's still attached.

Hi, I have the same issue with my Fitbit inspire, it just happened today and the strap will no longer stay attached and I cannot wear it. My inspire was purchased in February 2021. Can you please ask someone to con me to offer help?

Hi Amberjane,
I'm so sorry your Inspire broke too. Since it's over a year old, Fitbit may
only give you a 35% coupon toward the purchase of another one.

You have to go to the Fitbit website, scroll down to the bottom of the page
and contact customer service. They will email information for next steps.

Also, check out Amazon for a band for the Inspire that fits around the
Fitbit. I found one for my Charge 4. It works well enough that I can wear
the Fitbit and not worry about losing it. It was $10-$15 for purchase.

I sent you a band on Amazon that may work for you. There may be other
selections but this is what it would look like.

Hope this helps.

I had the same issue. Purchased in January 2020, and it broke in August 2022. Very frustrating to buy a new tracker when the device itself works fine. I tried the fitbit chat with support but they had no solution or discount offer to purchase new. I'm planning to super glue and see how that holds.

I was able to super glue mine. Not sure how long it will last. I ended up buying an Apple Watch though.

I super glued mine. It seemed to work, but my husband bought me an Apple Watch for my birthday. So I don’t know if it lasted.

My Fitbit inspire HR broke right after the warranty expired. I can't attach the bands any longer.  It is unfortunate as Fitbit’s digital part works perfectly (so far).  Bad design and cheap materials...
Thanks for the link for an alternate idea to save the main part. Would Inspire HR fit in these bands?

I think there may be other selections made by that company for the Inspire.
The band for the Charge 4 may be to wide for the Inspire. Check Amazon for
a replacement band for broken Inspire. I'm sure I saw one.

Hi there -- I have the same problem.  I took it to a jeweler to get a replacement watch band put on because I didn't realize the problem is that the casing of the fitbit is broken -- it's the exactly same as Jacky Y's pic below.  Can I just get the case that goes around the device?  Now I have a new band and I can't use it because there's nothing to attach it to.  So frustrating!  Thanks for whatever help or suggestions you can offer.

Hi Karen,
Was your Fitbit an Inspire or a Charge 4?
For the Charge 4 I found this replacement band on Amazon that securely
holds the device in the band.

GOSETH Compatible with Fitbit Charge 4/Fitbit Charge 3 Bands with Case,
Silicone Strap with Shatter-Resistant Protective Frame for Fitbit Charge
3/SE/Charge 4 and Special Editions (Black&Grey) https://a.co/d/8gPF4TH.

This is a replacement band for the Inspire 2 on Amazon. There may be a few
other choices. This is the one I liked.

Thank you!  I don't want a whole new band though -- I just need the casing around the fitbit so that I can attach the replacement band I bought.  I don't know if that's even a thing that exists though...
