Inspire fails sleep math

I live in AK and frequently travel to the east coast.  Last night I landed at half past midnight in my AK time zone, went home and got to sleep at 1:47 AM local time. I got up at 6:16. Before I synced this afternoon, my Inspire HR was understandably still on EDT. After I synced, it still had EDT sleep and wake up times, and the wrong sleep duration (24 minutes!). I changed the sleep start and end times by subtracting 4 hours, and now it shows 2 hrs 40 minutes of sleep.  Since neither the 24 minute or 160 minute duration is rationally related to the correct start and end times, my conclusion is that Fitbit needs to hire developers who can code for this kind of basic time zone change, because no matter which time zone you use, I got about 4 hours and 29 minutes of sleep last night.  Note that the date of the start and end time is the same in both time zones.

Also, years after I and many others requested it and were promised a solution, I still can't track snow shoveling as a form of exercise. Our ancestors are laughing at a degenerate culture that pays to go to a gym in order to perform nonproductive aerobic and weight bearing exercise and cant imagine actually doing useful work for the same (or better) physical and mental benefits.

@Alaskan   Time zone changes can result in data loss.  I get a popup that says this if I change my time zone manually.  I suspect the math would have worked out better if you changed your time zone when you landed.

As far as snow shoveling goes, the best option is the Workout shortcut in the Exercise app.  While I generally don't get that much snow in Maryland, I've been in a Nor'easter bull's eye several times with two feet of snow.  Yep, it's a workout.  😉
