Inspire has stopped vibrating for notifications

My Inspire is several years old.  I recently started with a problem where it does not vibrate for any notifications. It worked perfectly for at least a year or more. Now it will not vibrate at all.  The notifications and phone calls are still coming through and if I am looking down I can see them, but no alerts.  I have tried rebooting the device twice and "always vibrate" is turned on. I am beginning to believe that maybe it is just time for a new device.  Has anyone had this problem where I feel like I have tried it all and nothing is working? Can it just be possible that whatever produces the vibration is no longer working? Is there anything else I can try?

Hi, @khristine1968  could your Inspire be in sleep mode?  You can check on the “settings” menu on the Fitbit.  Alternatively could your phone be in Do Not Disturb mode?

If you are ready for an upgrade, the just announced Inspire 3 looks great.  With a colour screen it will solve what I think is the biggest problem with the earlier versions of Inspire - hard to see the screen in sunlight.  Inspire 3 is available for preorder now at the online Fitbit store.

No unfortunately it is not in sleep mode and Do Not Disturb is not on on my phone.  I have tried pretty much everything.  I just think that perhaps it is time to replace the device.  Thanks for your help.

Hi, @khristine1968 , you might be right.  The Inspire has a very small vibrator motor built in and it sounds like this has failed.  I would recommend getting in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.Fitbit.com .  Although your Inspire will by now be out of warranty I know that they are sometimes able to offer a discount to loyal Fitbit customers looking to upgrade.  Worth a try!

Thank you so much for your advice.  I was wondering what generated the vibration.  I will contact fitbit to see if anything can be done.  If not, I will look into a newer model.  Once again thank you.
