Inspire hr won’t track sleep or receive notifications

I just got a Fitbit inspire hr, and it won’t track my sleep it just has a greyed out half moon with 2 small dots under it. It also won’t receive text notifications or any other notifications no matter what I do, please help if this sounds familiar??
