Inspire in clip mode without clip?

Former Zip user looking at getting an Inspire (not Inspire HR). I frequently preferred carrying my beloved deceased Zip in my pocket without its case.
Can I do the same with the Inspire? Do I have to purchase the clip accessory to use the Inspire in clip mode?

Went ahead and bought the Inspire and figured I'd just try it for myself.

For anyone else wondering if they have to purchase the $20 clip accessory for their Fitbit Inspire to work in clip mode, you do not. I could see possibly purchasing the clip accessory later if I wanted to clip it to my clothing, but for now, I'm content taking the wrist strap off and putting the Inspire in my pocket by itself.

You can do the same with the Inspire if you buy the clip also.  I suppose you could put in into clip mode without using the clip but not sure anything else would hold it securely.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
