Inspire in the clip option

I was very excited when the clip for my new Inspire Fitbit arrived. I prefer not to have to wear anything on my wrist. However, when I switched the Inspire to the new clip and put it on my waistband, it did NOT record any steps I was taking. What is the deal?

Hi @Jaebirdie - Please check out the manual to verify that you are placing the clip correctly on your waistband. Here’s the pertinent information. Looks like they want it closer to your side. Let us know if adjusting the placement works.

You also need to make sure to change your device setting to On Clip. You will find it under settings

I am looking to upgrade to the Inspire HR, I like the clip feature, obviously I will not track heart rate when I have it clipped to  my bra.  Can I switch it to my wrist when working out to track BP?  I really do not want to wear it as a watch all the time.

@SunsetRunner - The Inspire that fits in the clip does not track heart rate. But yes, you can switch it from the clip to the wrist band.

Thanks for the good suggestions. I was wearing it face inward because that is how I wore my Fitbit One. It doesn't stick out so much. I also did not know about the On Clip option for the Settings. Will try both and see if that works. I'll let you know. Thanks!

Yes, please! I figured for workouts I would wear it on my wrist for HR. Hoping to get all info before purchasing and being disappointed
