I've just bought an Inspire, connected to Android phone but the screen only shows the fitbit image and www.....set up no swiping or pressing the button on the left seems to engage it. Help for a beginner much appreciated!!

Hi there @HeloiseB, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided, I'll be more than glad to help you.

In order to solve what you're getting on the screen, please try doing the following:

  • Log out of your Fitbit app
  • Force quit the app
  • Restart your Inspire
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit app
  • Update the Firmware version of your Inspire
  • Sync right after finishing the update

Last but not least, I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

I've moved your post to the Inspire & Inspire HR board as there are more chances to get related replies here.

Let me know if this solves your issue, I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Hi I'm still encountering this problem. The instructions didn't seem to work for me.

I have a Huawei P10 Lite (the P10 is listed in the compatible phones list, but not the Lite. Is it compatible?)

Thanks

I tried everything in your answer, except I could not find out how to update the app.  My phone is a Samsung Galaxy J4+.  I checked the list of phones compatible and the J3 is there, so presumably the J4 is a later model.  Is it supported?  Is that why I am having difficulty? The Inspire HR just does not work if I tap it. I have to press the switch at the side and all I get is www.fitbit.com/setup.

Have been trying all afternoon and getting really fed up now.

I'm experiencing the same issue; however, I have a Samsung S8.

I'd appreciate any advice on how to sync the devices.

Thanks.

For some reason I couldn't move beyond the screen that says "make sure your device is on".  But this did finally work for me.I was unable to locate the firmware part so I skipped it and it's FINALLY syncing.

I was ready to take this back to Best Buy and get a Garmin!!

Thank you for your help!

Is this information applicable to those of us using a desktop computer or is it just for the phone.?

Hi it is fine now, it was just frozen for about 24 hours when I first set it up.  It froze again when I  forgot to charge it, and left it charging overnight. Again it was frozen for about 12 hours before it got going again. All fine now thanksPatWysłano z telefonu Samsung

I also had to empty cache and settings thru' apps on my phone ( for me it was in my storage card memory thru settings on phone) This worked.  I also did other directions previous to this.

Fitbit is set up on a desk top computer not a phone or tablet.

I used my phone, but after setting it up, I  just left it alone for 24 hours and it started to work. Not had any problems since.Wysłano z telefonu Samsung
